At least it looks fairly clear one or both will be delivering white tops in the spring (sometime). I'd like to swing by Armadillo to see how that's going as well - it's definitely a very different take on the standard concept.
Armadillo has been giving updates, they now have the rear glass for their tops and will begin the final test updates and prepare for delivery. Fun times!

Really disappointed to be writing this update, but I can't say I'm surprised.

Having ordered within the first 10 minutes, I've decided that if the top does not ship out by the end of this month, then I will [finally] be requesting a full refund. I can't justify paying this much for a hardtop from a company that has strung me along for 2 years when other companies are now producing and shipping quality hardtops.

I reached out to ADV today to get an update on my order and was told "Our original anticipation was for Batch 1 to begin shipping between Mid-January to Mid-February. Currently, early Batch 1 hardtops will begin shipping at the end of January into early February, just as yours will."

Looks like there's a good chance we'll end up cancelling... I've put myself on the waiting list for the TOR hardtop and looking forward to open and honest communication from TOR.

ADV has done a lot of videos, one did talk about install I believe. I remember the one about how their sections screw together, didn't think much of it. Now I believe you have to bolt the sides to the top. I question how strong that connection will be. The TOR top looks it's built like a tank but it's 2 big pieces. Rally has a video where you can see their front piece in the cargo area with half of the rear seat folded down. Rally also looks like it would be the easiest to remove the snow from the top. Rally top in tan? The Eddie Bauer look.
I asked ADV for a link to their installation video and they said it wasn't available yet.

EXACTLY!!!

Although now looking back at their message, it reminds me that I'm pretty sure their original anticipation was to start shipping hardtops in SEPTEMBER 2022 (what I was told after ordering), not January / February 2024.

Strangely, there are no videos of the installation of the top on a Bronco when they have videos of installing aftermarket roof racks and other things for their top.

Wasn't Batch 1 supposed to be "Mid-January" and now it's "Mid-January to February?" Seems like what ADV just said in the latest post about this versus what we saw in the video is different.

With TOR offering a LIFETIME WARRANTY on their top
(Not to mention having deliveries/pickups starting this week),
what are the actual reasons to stick with the ADV top?

I'm not 100% sure the closed cell foam is going to be a better option as opposed to the honeycomb/resin method TOR is using (which has been used for years on Jeep tops), when done correctly.

Curved back glass?
Wiper/washer ready at launch?
The mysterious headliner? (who can say, since we don't know anything about the ADV option)
Two-piece vs 1-piece removable front section?

I'm not seeing any of these as being worth the $2K price difference (or the uncertainty/wait).

What are YOUR reasons for sticking with your ADV order?
I don't see the hardtop lifetime warranty on their website. Perhaps I missed it here or elsewhere. Where did you see that?

TurnOffroad said they were going to offer it on this thread and that they're working out the warranty now.

You have to remember about the unexpected holiday season in December? That's what pushed it from September to Jan/Feb '24. Or was it the chip shortage? Or COVID? Or supply chain issues? Or the upcoming election? Or rising interest rates? ADV is running out of excuses.

The worst part is the headliner. That has to literally be the simplest part of their whole hardtop, and they can't even provide any info about it......Sketch City, USA.

Batch 1 here just got notice that shipping early Feb. WTF?

Say it ain't so! When were you originally told it would ship?

I'm sure @Turn Offroad or @TURN Todd can share some context here, and if this means other batches are also delayed?

Edit: My mistake - I'm mixing up my threads on B6G now. Sorry folks.
