I am staying with the factory rims as well because well... Aesthetics... I wish they were bead locks.

I am considering going with a spare tire delete..... I don't know yet... I have plugged many a tire. Patched a few as well. The sharp granite here in places can be unforgiving. But that weight and that over hang..... Damn... I don't know yet.

Funny to admit... I have been leaning toward the Turn as well if that is the way I end up going.... Looked hard at the expedition one but as of late been leaning toward the turn or the delete.

I think I will get it set up first and then decide.

I was also looking at expedition one. I really like the idea of a tire carrier on the bumper BUT couldn't really find one that i thought would not move around back there, be rock solid and then open two differnt things to get in the back just seams like a hassle and the ones that attach to the tailgate, i dont think are strong enough. The turn is BEEFY so here I am. I see people running spare delete and I am to much of a what if guy. Already happened. Side wall slice early in the day. Plugged and held up fine wheelin but driving 3.5 hours home on a side wall plug....rather have the full size spare!!

Good points.... Especially if you are plugging a 40 inch and it blows on the way home....

Now see what you are doing to me.... Making me second guess everything... And here I thought I might use the delete to mount some gas.... I have a 19.6 in my truck and still carry a 5 gallon can and had to use it a couple of times. I have to put some cans someplace, and I am NOT putting them inside. I will only have about 1.5 inch to get into the garage door.... Maybe I could put them up there when I pull out?

The turn will hold a can on the side but I don't know if it will with a 40.

Sorry, 😁
I hear about the gas. Mine is a 2dr so tiny tank. Was looking at something like this
https://trailrax.com/collections/fo...it-for-the-ford-bronco?variant=43583515525287
Says it will hold 16 gallons of roto pak but its expensive.
But really dont like it hanging on the side for exposure.
I actually have an email from turn off road asking about the weight capabilities because with a 40 inch and the stock tire you're about 140 lb I've chased lights in an antenna so I'm 150 they responded back that 150 is no problem and they had 200 lb on it going over whoops and Rock Gardens with no issues. They actually said they have not found a limit yet which is kind of a daring statement! So I actually feel confident when they finally get the additional accessories for the gas can.

Problem with the trail rax is that you have to have the trail rax rack... I have the OEM and I am sticking with it for aesthetics.... So that one is out for me. I do not mind the location I am just not changing out the rack.

I am less worried about the weight capacity of the turn and starting to worry about the body of the bronco. Over time will it start to sag in? I guess I have not studied the structure in that area well enough to trust it yet.

I found some 1 inch strobes that I was thinking of mounting on the back side of the rear rack mount for chase lights. and for rearward lighting I thought I might let in some flush mount spreader lights on the rear bumper. I picked up a pair from black oak that I am using as ditch lights . very impressed with 120 degree dispersion and they are 3100 lumen. Better than a 60 degree flood light. And added bonus they look wicked cool. very different than anything else. And they can hold up to the elements because they were made for ocean going boats.
Actually cheaper than a lot of the floods you can buy as well.

Not completely sold on the Bad Ass Mounts.... they are high quality but they mount the light a little higher than I wanted.

I am amazed that 5 people out of the first ten sets have reported on this forum thread.
I think there's one or two others around as well who didn't say so in the poll.

Yeah, I would really like to delete the spare. The Turn Off Road or Expedition One both look like options I'd like as well. I'd also take the DV8 tire cage more seriously if they didn't have to put DV8 on everything in big letters.

Doesn't the Expedition One swing with the rear door? So you're not swinging it out, then the door? I know there's one or two that do, thought that was one that did. I've also been thinking about the APG Expedition one, don't know if they added that or not.

That just seems like a huge percentage given the total population of the US, then the subset that purchased Broncos that happen to come to this forum.... Having enjoyed my statistic classes and loving to measure things in probabilities... that is huge! Maybe that is just me but... wow!

Agree with you on the branding... If I am going to be showing off brand names I would like to get paid.

If I understand this right, yes, I believe the expedition one also mounts the rear tail gate door to the swing arm so that they open as one. And yes, the expedition one and the APG are the exact same thing (made by expedition one) but APG has added a couple of extra options like the rear mount winch that I do not see as an option on the Expedition One web site. There were a couple other options as well that I am not recalling this morning... I will think of them in a couple hours while working on something else entirely.

Yeah, I know. I totally take credit. I should get a big discount! Without that poll, it may still be unknown that these portals even exist... 😁 Boy I wish. But yeah, I figured we'd only have one or two, they cost so much. So thank y'all, as Jimmy of Johns puts it, the smells are free!

I am a rear winch fanboy.

take credit where it is due.... :)

It is fun to talk with some people that either are getting them or interested because almost everyone adds something that makes me stop and have to think through everything again.... and again.... and again... It actually makes me feel better the more I can wrestle with all the permeations.

I am but I am not.... I prefer my winch on the front because that is the usual direction I want to proceed in even when I need the extra help. But How tight things are up front on this bronco is crazy... not like the old days. So many things.... cameras, intercoolers, ACC antennas, trans coolers, air flow restrictions, yada yada yada.... Every single one of those issues needs to be carefully thought through and if you miss just one.... You screw it up.

The rear does seem to be the safer option on the Bronco (to me).

Yeah, we need to get @Snacktime back being the contrarian. There's a certain amount of lightheadedness that comes with highly engineered toys pitched by brains like Quinn. Definitely agree we need the shakedown on the ideas so we all get better.

Yes, but have you ever winched up a hill in reverse?!? Almost nobody has! You could be the first in your neighborhood. Sweet! lol
