Got in the rig this morning and noticed a vibration. Goes away when coasting in neutral. No clunk shifting from park to drive or reverse so I'm thinking can't be a universal. Can feel it more when on the gas. It's not bad yet but not smooth like before. What is known to be a problem with the drivetrain on these? 2.7 BD SAS. 12,000 miles.

Have you driven in mud and have some caked on the inside of a wheel or on one side of the driveshaft?
No. I was just under checking things out again and nothing catches my eye or ears. I can't pinpoint front (should be nothing up front right?) Or rear. Seems something driveshaft related but not universal related. Ive had the FP tune on it for @ a month and everything seemed fine. Recently though I've noticed the tranny searching for gears. ????

Have you checked to see if the rear pinion yoke has play or is loose?

Is the steering wheel vibrating (or moving when you feel the vibe)? Loose trans mount maybe?

Mine started intermittently around 4ooo miles I'm at 10 k now....only at highway speeds mostly 60 and up...someone said something about the front driveshaft getting replaced due to actuators...I have not taken mine in cause it does not do it all the time.

Welp, just got home from Xmas shopping with the wife and she noticed it right away. She doesn't pay attention to these things so yea. It's getting worse quickly. I'm a carpenter and couldn't find the pinion yoke if you pointed to it. Making an appointment Monday morning. Well I guess this is what warranties are for. 😡

It doesn't feel like the front but could be the shaft right at the transfer case. No slop at all just constant vibration especially under acceleration and deceleration. To the shop we go. Thanks all. 🤷

Please keep us posted...I can feel It in the seat..steering wheel ..shifter..and pedals....the vibration is so minor that most people wouldn't notice...but what I'm hearing from some is that the f150 has had this problem but I'm not sure if they had the same front axle as the bronco 2.7 SAS.
One person on here said they replaced the front drive shift but that did not solve, another replaced front axle due to the actuators messing up and said so far that vibration is gone. I'm gonna try to find that thread and post back . The way to do this diagnosis is to have the Ford technician drive it and feel the vibration(insert Marky mark joke here) and then unplug the actuators and then drive again...What I'm not clear on yet is if our SAS front axles have these actuators or not...I haven't researched it enough.....sorry for the long post but hope this may help.

I'm not saying it's right, but I've had an on throttle vibration in 4H and 4A since new. Haven't gone to the dealer cuz like others have said its so minor those geniuses probably wouldn't feel it.

Ford Rangers had some problems with the hanger bearing for the drive shaft going bad. I had to have my whole drive shaft replace at 5000 miles on my 20 Ranger, that maybe something to look at.

My badlands had the front pinion seal leak at about that same mileage. I didn’t feel any vibration but could smell oil or lube burning on the exhaust pipe.
