Christmas tree transporting without roof rack?

It just hit me. How is everyone getting a Christmas tree home without roof racks? Hard top. F-150 is in storage. Never even thought about it…

An artificial tree fits fine in its box in a moar door.

Probably not in a 2 door though… May need a trailer or something.

We used a hitch hauler type for years before we had a pickup. Crosswise tree carry. Works great up to 8ft or a tad more if you’re careful.

As long as no one is riding with you, what I do every year(and really any time I need to transport something long ie. lumber) is take out my front passenger seat. It’s just 4 13mm bolts and a wiring harness. With a cordless ratchet it takes all of about a minute to get the seat out.

With the seat out of the way, and the back seat folded down you can easily fit an 8 foot tree. (I’ve also done it by just pulling the seat all the way up and tilting the seat back forward, but then visibility is a little limited)

I fit this in a Miata when I sold a plant to a local brewery. You can figure it out. In your situation I'd just roll the windows down and run a ratchet strap around it.

I live near a Christmas tree farm. Trust me, if the wheels roll, you can strap it somewhere. I’ve seen them in multiple orientations, some a bit sketchy but I’ve only encountered one on the side of the road so lots of rope and duct tape, your good!
