The 2022 will probably have a price increase need to remember that .
That $2000 could end up about the same as 2021 order at $1300 in savings or less
I would think it would be same pricing as everyone else is paying that puts their order in by December

Great marketing tool to keep people from giving up on the Bronco for a couple years because they didn't reserve early. Putting customers first, nice job guys!

I’m not convinced it would work like that. We have to place orders in December. Now, with an order in hand, if Ford can’t deliver all of them as 2021s, I would like to think that they would honor the same pricing and just deliver a 2022.

Particularly if an additional deposit is put down, which is what my local dealership is saying (as of now) that they require (but they aren’t doing any ADM and will honor all plans. They also have no doc or dealer fees).

Otherwise it just seems like it would be a public relations fiasco.

Yes we will, it is unearned money at that point...
Arguably, it is earned.

Granger has earned a lot more than just the $100 for openness and transparency thanks to your efforts offsetting the absolute sinkhole of information that Ford proper has been.

Just let Granger know how much your tags & Taxes are and he can roll them into the financing, then cut you a check for that amount that you can use to pay then.

Maybe I'm confused. I thought under the original offer if we did have x-plan it was $1300 under invoice. Now we can get $2000 under invoice and no x-plan needed. So the difference would be $700 cheaper if I cancelled my already late 8/31 reservation and mat a new one 10/1. Seems like a no brainer for only one month's worth of reservation slip. I think the big spike was back in July when the reservations first opened and since then there has been a more modest amount. @Granger Ford is my math above correct? Also I know others have already asked this, but is it possible to get any kind of wild guess as to how much of a delay would I be looking at? I was hoping to get my original reservation sometime next fall, but it sounds like that was optimistic. If I'm already looking at spring 2022 for my original reservation then honestly any additional delay doesn't matter.

That is correct

My thinking...
If the new reservation is:
1- An October 2020 reservation
&
2- The subsequent converted order is a December 2020 Order (with an expected delivery in 2022 and price locked in as of 12/2020)

Then any price increase for MY 2022 Broncos should make this deal more attractive not less.

Regardless of whether a reservation was made in July or Oct, the deadline to convert the reservation to an order is January. At which point, if no order is confirmed, the $100 is refunded and the reservation is cancelled. Any orders placed in the next few months will have the same pricing. The delivery is in question. Ford can't move the 'goalposts' after an order is placed. Now, there may be a price increase for 2022 MY, but that will only apply to those that are purchased on the lot.

@Granger Ford , what happens if we put in an order that gets delayed into the 2022 MY, and we have chosen an option (color, perhaps) that goes away for 2022? Will they still build it as ordered, or will the order have to change? What happens if the price goes up for 2022?

Are you guys gonna do something similar if the bronco pickup comes out? I really would like to wait for that but this is very tempting.
Probably unless we are overburdened with rules from the mothership;)

More of a Zach question. If he does not answer it here I will find out for you.

Okay so many questions:

1) $2000 off invoice, what about X-plan members? $2,300? $100 doc fee?
2) Pricing is agreed upon in December so if it DOES change for 2022 we’re locked in?
3) We won’t know our current shipping date until Marchish 2021 so there’s really no way to keep our current order and make a new one without penalizing you?

I’m on the cusp and for me I’m probably going to get bent over until late 2021 anyways so this might just make more sense. It’s almost forced patience for an impatient person to save a little more.

Man I get this.. but this isn’t helping the situation that Ford has done.
Zach and Albert are trying to gain more reservations hence the new deal starting in October.
I know we can save a little extra but I think keeping our existing reservations with Granger and allowing new customers to add to the reservation- allocation count is what the intention here is..
I think the truth be told many who were going with either local dealerships or other dealerships like Granger are going to strongly consider canceling those reservations and going with Granger.

So essentially Granger has raised the bar even higher to see if the competition can stay with the new $2000 off invoice challenge. I doubt anyone can.

The allocation of Bronco’s for subsequent years will be higher for Granger despite being a smaller dealership and if they maintain very competitive pricing going forward they can continue to be a high allocation dealership even and especially when the reservation orders are no longer how customers buy their Broncos.

Granger will acquire new and loyal customers for the other Ford names they sell.

Smart, very smart and taking the long but certain view to success.??
