The strike really messed up the scheduling for the HE's which was already piss poor enough as it was. Ford's not even giving the canceled folks the option before hand to jump in on a BD (or something else) to be able to keep their PP and private offers like they did with the WT's earlier on in the year. It's going from scheduled one minute to cancelled the next; do not pass go, do not collect $200, just wiped from the board!
Yep, just horrible client services they could have done this cleaner and in a way to make folks still feel a part of it, not locked out. It’s a big shame that they haven’t learned their lessons. I’m on like my 23rd Ford and this stuff just kills me.

Yep I did not get price protection on my black diamond. I just said screw it. I am not waiting anymore. Lucky I placed my order for my black diamond in June. And had it in my driveway by mid September. The extra money I paid for the black diamond was worth all the stress and anxiety. 🙄

Wow this :poop: show somehow still amazes me after all this time. I emailed my dealer today and this was the initial response I got:
Ford had cancelled any unscheduled 23MY orders in the order bank....due to allocation, we did not convert or place any orders for 24MY. I do not see your order in the order bank, did ford provide you with a VIN?

I responded back to her to let her know I HAVE been scheduled since March 2nd 2023... I will report back of any further response I get. Based on what others are reporting here it seems like Ford doesn't have a plan. I think they are just wanting to wipe the slate clean of all of these old backorders and start all over again. As someone else pointed out they most likely won't do any price protection at this point because my guess with the original pricing and the increased labor costs now they would be losing money on these builds.
I contacted the Ford chat line and they said as of Nov 3rd my order was CANCELED and to contact my dealer for any further information. I'm still confused why the order tracking site still has a build date of 12/18. I have sent my dealer another email and just waiting to see what they say. I WILL NOT order another one in 2024 if there is no price protection.

That is what I ended up doing. Get a black diamond. Put a 2 inch level kit on it and some bigger tires. And paint the top grill and wheels white. And that way you can get whatever color you want. Instead of the crappy selection of colors they offer right now.

This is my favorite of all the heritage/throwback broncos I've seen here. Just a phenomenal job on this!

There are many of us who just got stiffed in exactly the same way and feel your pain. I just got off the phone with Ford Marketing after a very unsatisfying Ford Chat and neither one could help, other than to tell me it doesn't seem fair, but it is what it is at this point.

Here is the response from my dealer, which is Chapman in Horsham, PA:

We reached out to our rep to advise, I'll let you know what we hear back.
Due to not receiving allocation for 24MY, we did not accept or convert unscheduled orders. Ford stated they will not offer any kind of price protection going into 24MY

Not sure who they pissed off to get no allocation of Broncos in 2024?! I asked her to clarify and she claims they have been told they will receive 0 Broncos in 2024.

Chapman, Granger and Stephens were dealers that were offering the best deals at the beginning so of course they got tons of reservations. Ford worked a deal with them to clear out what they could of their backlog by pulling from their '24 allocation hence, no '24 Bronco's for them to even place or rollover an order to (even though they should technically get the HE one back since Ford didn't deliver).

Just throwing this out there with so many issues with the non-heritage (black) MIC Hardtops...I've been pretty happy with the white painted tops that we got on the Heritage Editions. Other than wind noise from the front (I think this is just a design issue with the squareness of the Bronco windshield), my hardtop has been pretty solid. I believe I read somewhere that our tops are not called MIC but something else? The painted material seems to make it more solid and ours come with the additional headliner that previous MIC models didn't come with. Am I missing something? Would be interesting to hear what other Heritage owners think.

Here is another thread that said it's an "SMC" rather than a "MIC": https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...erglass-plastic-or-some-other-material.80726/

Our tops are the modular HTs vice MIC and yes, are SMC. Someone earlier weighed one as well and ours are heavier and more features. Now long term who knows what issues we'll have but I don't think we'll have any like the MIC is. Worse I can think of is all the seals over time with leaks and wind noises but proper maintenance will help too.

I'm pretty happy with the noise, or lack there of. I'm coming from a 16 year old FJ that could use new door seals for door and half design they use. So far no water leaks, no weird creaks or wind noise and no cracks or snake skinning anywhere!

It just occurred to me that I am scheduled for the Off Roadeo for a car I'm likely not to get, and I can no longer cancel without penalty. Cherry on top.
