New Wheels - need help deciding and have questions...

I have a non sas badlands non beedlock weels.

I am wanting black wheels. I have a couple questions:

If I am purchasing new wheels (keeping the same tires) do I need to worry about the sensors? Or are these housed in the tires? I will have my OG wheels, so could I use the sensors off of those?

I have a proposal from someone on marketplace for the beedlock wheels - all 5 for $400 but no beauty rings. Are the beauty rings hard to find/expensive if I were to purchase without them? Do I even need them?

My other option is to powder coat the non beedlock badlands wheels black. I've seen some of you do it with the OBX wheels and I think it looks pretty damn good...

TPMS sensors are in the valve stems, they can be moved from your old wheels to your new ones.

You can drive without beauty rings since they're just cosmetic, and I've seen them for sale on this forum a few times for a few hundred or so.

In the valve stems...so that's on the tire itself, not the wheel correct? I'll be using the same tires so I wouldn't have to worry about it?

Correct, but they are called beauty rings for a reason, cause the wheels look terrible without them. Also note, if you cannot find the rings here on the marketplace, they will cost $750 from Ford.

And yes, you can have your existing wheels powder coated.

Uh, no. The valve stem is how you put the air in the tire. You know, the little black thingy on the rimz.

Advice. Try to find a local and complete set of Squatch wheels.

I kept my tires and bought these Fuel wheels in black and I love them.

The valve stem mounts to the wheel. Once they dismount the tires, they can remove the tpms sensor from the inner side of the valvestem. They may swap your original valvestem or mount new ones then reattach the TPMS sensors onto the new setup.

Honestly I don't think your going to like the look of the wheels without the beauty rings. And if you go and purchase those separately and new...... You're not going to like the price.

I just recently sold my stock wheels (beadlock capable, beauty ring had one small chip) with tires that had 500 miles on them for 1k. Probably cheaper than you are going to spend going in the direction that your headed to.
