I have the Archetype Racing Bronco Accessory Mount rail and find that it flexes too much as it only has the single mounting screw in the middle. Mine didn't arrive with 3M tape for the feet so I added my own and still find that it flexes way to much for arms and camera mounts.

Has anyone added additional screws or mounting points into the dash? The BAM feet have a very small footprint which limits the adhesive ability of tape. I think an additional foot on each end, screwed to the bottom of the slot rail and 3M tape on a wider footprint would be ideal. Anyone tried anything like this or is handy with a 3d printer?

Did you try the slap yet to see if that stops the flex?

I have not. I think for structure, I'd rather secure the long legs than just add more support at the center? It's a bit pricey to hope it helps.

Sweet rail… may I ask where you tapped your radar detector power in to? And how you accessed it. Or you perhaps have posted it and if you can?
There are so many points
Thanks

Ha. I actually pulled that from the Archetype Racing website as I was too lazy to go take a pic of mine right now. :)

I do have a Valentine One suction cupped just below the mirror and I'm using a mirror tap for power

I’ve got the BAM rail in both Bronco’s and really like them, but both have the same amount of flex as @UtahBrandon mentions. I installed the SLAP on one of them, but it doesn’t change the amount of flex. I wish there was something that could be done to eliminate it, but think that’s just a feature of the rail design.

I’m hoping to have time in the next couple of weeks to test fit the new Garmin Tread Baja race on the SLAP rail and test for stability. No idea if it’ll even fit in that location without obstructing the rear view mirror.

Also, Sticker Fab has a few different power and mounting options for radar detectors. I went with the direct-tap cable that taps into the OEM mirror plug. Detector is mounted up high and to the right of the mirror. One nice feature of the cable is that there’s an in-line power button that makes it very easy to cut the power without pulling the plug.

I have the same issue. I really like the BYOD, but the tape on the feet doesn't hold and it rattles/flexes on rough terrain. I have to find a solution, or I'll have to move to something else because it drives me insane.

I added these Mabett rubber pads just keep things from slipping. I have my AR BYOD rail attached to it. It doesn't move at all.
I just got my BAM rail and I’m confused as to how you connected it to that dash nonslip pad.

auovo Dash Cover Tray Compatible with Ford Bronco Accessories 2021 2022 2023 2024 Anti-Slip Silicone Car Dashboard Compartments Mat fit Bronco 2/4-Door Interior Dash Pad Liners 2-pc Set (Black Trim) https://a.co/d/f2cLGU2

I found the product above goes over the spot where the rail would tape to the dash. In that scenario imagine I could tape it directly to the pad. But the pad itself has no adhesive and I’m not sure under weight of something mounted on the edges of the BAM rail would make it flex or not. Thoughts?

I ordered during their initial preorder a couple years back. When it arrived, I was impressed with the quality but after running it for a week and making multiple adjustments to stop the flexing and noise it was making, I removed it, boxed it back and its been on a shelf in the garage ever since. Replaced it with a 67 designs bronco rail and its been solid for over 2 years now and in 2 different Broncos. Im now reminded that I forgot to list the AR for sale and wasted the money.

If we are talking about alternatives to the BAM, Tackform makes a pretty sturdy looking dash mount for the Bronco.

Any chance it is one of the limited run Badlands versions? If so, I’ll buy it from you. Thanks.
