OP, looks like you got a great Bronco. Appreciate you not paying any ADM.

MSRP is where we are for a little while longer until more competition comes out to steal some attention.

Welcome to the 2 Dr Cartel “Blood In, Blood Out“ !!!

Now, what do you plan to do with it? Lots of good wheeling options in New England. Skiing rig? Hiking, etc? then tons of good off-roading of all

levels in NH, VT, and ME. Upstate NY has some good stuff too.

Fun times ahead if you’re into it.
It’ll be my daily; but definitely plan on taking it on all the trails all around NE. I have a $5k parts list ready. Will be ordering everything next week I believe

If you’re on an internet ”interest” forum, we ALL care what others think. Otherwise why are you here?

It’s not an echo chamber, we exchange thoughts, ideas, and opinions; that’s the point of it.
My thoughts exactly lol…

Was just curious on other people’s opinions as far as the “deal” goes: wasn’t sure if anyone was getting under MSRP etc..
The majority are obtaining their Bronco for MSRP if that is the measuring stick you comparing against. But there are a few that had to endure a wait and consequently received price protection instead of shopping available inventory.

I paid below MSRP on both my Broncos.

$5K? That’s a healthy budget.

I love the enthusiasm, but here’s just a hint to the wise, so take of it as much as fits. You have a Badlands, which alone is extremely capable. Some mods that may seem necessary before hand, may not be. Yet, there may be other mods that come up that you wish you’d had or would use more.

It all depends on where you go, what the obstacles look like, and of course, your driving ability. You’ll learn as you wheel more often, so that’s my philosophy on mods.

There are some that can be universal such as an installed air compressor, but there are debates on that topic as well with some guys electing to use a portable or cheaper option rather than the expensive ARB Twin, etc.

Now, if most of your budget is wheels and tires, totally understand that, but much of that is cosmetic since a Badlands comes with off-road tires. If it’s a Squatched Badlands, it’s the Goodyears, but they are MTs and are serviceable to a point.

You’ll be wheeling in wet conditions, so I’ll assume you’ve done homework on what works best in cold, wet, snowy conditions in your area. If not, there are threads in the Tires area that could be of help to you.

Also, there are a number of threads on the early mods topic that you may like as well. I wheel a pretty stock Squatched Badlands 2Dr and don’t really feel I need more for now. Once I’ve paid for the Bronco, that’s when the suspension will get fully upgraded as well as the steering rack, as I’ll aim for more challenging stuff by then.

If you’re not new to off-roading, then ignore the above, but if new, it’s ok to ease into it, see what you like, how much you like it, and get what you need to match where you go.

It’s a fun, yet expensive journey and hobby and either way you’ll have a ton of fun.

So I was in between a Badlands, and a Wildtrak. Then I found this Badlands, in the exact color with almost every option the Wildtrak comes with… I know it doesn’t have sport mode, but 12” screen, 360 camera, Sasquatch, TT V6, etc..

How did I do? I paid MSRP, and they are installing the tow hitch and running the wires for me for the 4/7 pin. I went to about 10 dealerships before I found this one. Just curious on everyone’s thought. Looking forward to being here!

You can add sport mode with a basic OBD II port dongle and the free For[d]scan software.

But--I enabled it and used it only once. You're not really missing anything.

Anytime you can go with a 2-door Badlands and you do, you're doing well. 😁

I’m asking, I’m comparison to other people’s purchase prices, how do they think I did….
That’s it.
These days, MSRP is getting easier, particularly in some areas. But traditionally, MSRP (or less) has been associated with a long wait. Mine was about 1 1/2 years after the first Broncos started rolling off the line. I had constrained items and an under-allocated dealer. In exchange for that wait, I got $3K under. I might have taken MSRP to get one a year sooner if I could have gotten a guarantee from the local dealer that they would honor MSRP. Without that confidence, it wasn't worth the risk of getting screwed and having no Bronco.

I genuinely appreciate all the advice, most of what I want is cosmetic/engine related. I’ll post below, it look very long but it’s mainly just the links. CAI, OCC, BOV, front /rear bumpers, steps, etc.. let me know what you think of the list. Some of it is honestly just for looks, but I also plan to add lights and a which. I just haven’t found which ones I want yet. Are you in New England?

I’m not necessarily worried about the financial aspect; so if you have better recommendations please let me know. The stock wheels/tires will be fine until it’s time for a replacement.

There are many in the never pay over MSRP crowd..... but keep in mind that MSRP jumped massively in the last 2 years. So you may have done poorly paying $45k for a Bronco, yet paying $50k for the identical Bronco is a deal.

My 2-cents is to wait until you have your Bronco in-hand prior to spending on accessories / upgrades. Unless there's a really good deal :)

I had mine for a couple of months and changed my mind on just about everything I was thinking.

Oh, I don't need that. Well, that's going to add a lot of weight. Actually, this alternative will work better. Yea, that's great as it is. Oh, new product. Opps, priority change. Shoot, my budget is shot. ;)

Agreed with most of that! But this isn’t my first rodeo with off road vehicles so I know exactly what I want for the most part.

Budget isn’t really an issue; and the resale market for everything is decent.

Two worst things you can do *AFTER* a purchase of a car:

1) Go down the rabbit hole of reviews of your make and model; and
2) Research and/or ask if you paid too much.

It's yours. Fugghedaboud the price and go sit in your car and enjoy the new car smell.
