I suspect it's more how you like your seat. Upright hurts my back.

I'm 5' 9" and the B-pillar on the 4-door jabs me in the shoulder. I'd buy another Mustang as a daily driver before I would put up with the B-pillar on the 4-door.

Wouldn't bother the wife, and she didn't even notice it when we drove one. She likes her seatback fairly upright.
I’m 6’2” and probably carrying an extra 30 pounds with broad shoulders. I also like my seat back reclined pretty far.

That said, I have no idea how the B-Pillar “jabs” anyone in the shoulder. If you are resting your arm on an open window frame, I suppose you are resting it a little farther forward. There is a ton of shoulder room in the 4-door. That was one of the primary differences I noticed after test-driving Wranglers.

The real difference between the two is in the cargo area. If you need more space for gear and in my case, multiple hockey bags, go with the 4-door. I think 4 people can comfortably fit in either.

I'm 6', and after 6 months and 10K miles of ownership, I finally found the mysterious B-pillar jab when I reclined the drivers seat back to take a nap, while waiting for my son. When I get in after my wife or son have driven it, I always move the seat rearward and recline it somewhat more they they do, I drive with my arm out the window as much as conditions allow, it's never been in the way, under normal driving condition.

Been on two trails where anything 6" longer than my 2dr would've had to turn back (Little Cedar Bounce, Bradford Easy Loop).

This guy might disagree with you

reading through this the only difference in opinion seems to be the I got a 4 door because family/carrying stuff.

If you have a family why do you not have a family car? I dont believe that everyone was buying a brand new expensive for what it is bronco, with long wait times because they needed a family car they didnt have already.

Bronco is a fun/cool car and two door is the most fun/cool.

The constant four door cope reminds me of the time I checked the bronco sport forums.

I must say the 2 door brigade hangs together. small but mighty.

Reminds me of Tanner from the Bad News Bears movies.

Yeah, I'm the weird one who wants a 2-door on the 4-door frame. Make the doors even longer and give me that 4-door storage and gas tank.

Two reasons.
1. I like the looks and feel of the bigger four door. The 2-door was never even a thought of mine, just like the 4-door wasn’t an option for you. I see no difference in “cool” factor between the two. That appears to be a bit of LiD syndrome afflicted on the 2-door crowd.

2. We do have another larger 3-row (family) SUV with tons of room. However, half the fun is packing all 4 of us and the 90 pound dog in the car for a top down ride around town. Personally, I can do a lot more of my every day driving with the 4-door, so it was a no brainer to me.

If you have don't have a family why do you not have a little convertible sports car? I dont believe that everyone was buying a brand new expensive for what it is bronco, with long wait times because they needed a little convertible, they didn't have already.

Fixed it.........

In all seriousness, for my main hobbies (Ice fishing and hunting) and being that I live in the country in rural MN, for the price (about $40K), it's about the least expensive rig I could've bought that gave me features that I wanted (front/rear lockers, ample ground clearance, and just enough space I needed to throw and go). Never owned another vehicle where people are walking across the lot to ask questions, or just to mention how cool it looks, I think even the 2-door crowd gets some of that.

This woman says the 2 door makes me 12.5% more sexy than a 4 door. I’m gonna take her word for it  :ROFLMAO:

Now THAT is a smart woman right there.

This thread has become a pretty useless debate where nobody is convincing nobody..

No need to convince anyone of the supremacy of the 2 door over the 4 door. It's obvious to the sentient among us. ;)

Have both, 2dr (mine) just looks better and the B pillar thing is real in the 4dr (hers).

Most of our friends are older than us. Some can barely get in the 4dr, none in the back of my 2dr. None of my friends favor riding in the back seat regardless. So she went for the 4dr.

Somebody showed the sticker that says something like "owning 2 Dr means you hate people". Mine has manual transmission too, so I guess I'm doubling that sentiment. :)

I camp with loads of stuff a wife and a dog with the 2 door and have plenty of room

Other day I tried a folding double cot to sleep in vehicle, it's 3.5 inches too long but would fit in the 4 door.

Want to sleep in it? You'll want a 4 door.

Just camping? you'll be fine with 2.

Want a fridge-freezer combo on a slide out you'll want the 4 door.

More space for the driver? 2 doors. you have more space with the longer door.

More space for gear? 4 doors. It's bigger, end of story.

15 day trip in the wilderness with the wife/dog camping gear, paddling gear, recovery gear, fishing gear, 2 paddle craft, food, water, alcohol, extra fuel and ammunition, etc.

calls for the four door Badlands with rear seat delete platform,

to each their own.
