I recently traded a 22' Wildtrak (lux, squatch and a ford performance chip) for a 23' Braptor. They are WORLDS apart in terms of fit and finish, performance, ride quality, size and sound.. The Braptor is insane and im glad i did the deal. My wife who could care less about any of this noticed a difference without me saying a thing right away. The cabin doesn't creak, rattle or have a wind noise...... I know your choice is between a Heritage and Braptor but if i had to go back "down" to a Wildtrak again I would be so disappointed and missing the Braptor. I also feel the tiptronic shifting paddles on the Braptor are plenty fun to scratch that manual itch.

I have a 2023 2-Door Bronco Heritage Cactus Grey that has been built (2.3L, Manual Shift).

It was ordered before I purchased a Bronco Raptor. I was worried that the Bronco Raptor order would not be fulfilled so I ordered a Heritage to be safe.

To my shock, I found out the Heritage was built yesterday. Attached is a Facebook photo showing a 4-Door that looks very similar to my build (Mine is a 2-Door).

I am considering selling my Raptor and purchasing the Heritage. Have I lost my mind?

I love the look of Heritage and enjoy stick-shift vehicles, but I’m concerned I’ll be going from one extreme to another. My Raptor has lux-package, vinyl seats, rubber flooring. The Heritage is midpackage with cloth seats.

This is a hard decision since I know how rare the Raptor vehicles are, but I really like the Heritage look. I just can’t see myself owning 2 Broncos. What do you guys think?

If these are the tribulations in your life then you are a blessed man. You will be happy with which ever you choose. Personally, I would keep the Raptor, but that's because I couldn't afford it.

If I had the means or the allocation for one, I’d have a raptor in my garage.

Hey swamp2, not a misperception, that is exactly how Ford positions it. Due to its extra width, there are a lot of trails that it will not be able to run, and the rock crawling capabilities are also limited by it's width.

Hmmm, we must be reading something different, "desert-racing, ROCK-CRAWLING" is how Ford positions it, both, not one.

Have you seen the LiteBrite YT videos of them crawling it? They/it absolutely crush some very hard trails, completely stock.

I hear a lot of "worry" about the width. I suppose it could be limiting, but it sounds like that is more of an East Coast thing. In practice, I've heard zero complaints of, "oh I really wanted to run trail X, but couldn't because my truck was too wide to fit". Throw some PPF on it and you can keep off the brush pinstriping and hit some fairly narrow trails.

I have Rock crawled mine in TN where I live and on Drummond Island MI. Mine has a full 10 mil wrap. Some trails on Drummond are tight, was able to do them. Lots of branches rubbing my sides. No trail pin stripes. Trails in TN are tight to.

Ha, no we are both reading the same thing, it is just that I read it "DESERT-RACING, rock crawling". On open terrain it will do very well, longer wheelbase and wider stance will provide it with a good centre of gravity.
In B.C., where our trails are narrow and highly technical, a Raptor would not work well. Hence my views on it, slanted due to the nature of our trails.

Day 1 reservation holder. Was offered a Raptor from my dealer. I passed. Then worked out a deal on a 2 door HLE. I’m happy.

Without either a tape measure or a first person attempt on some of these said trails, I think you are making assumptions. Sure in some very limited cases narrow could cause a "non starter" situation, but technical is also where the Raptor shines (again ref Lite Brite content!).

Also, did you see the post just before yours? @FLSTFI Dave isn't just talking about tight trails due to brush, but simply tight and his Raptor does wonderfully.

I hope to visit your neck of the woods. Beautiful place.

I am certainly making an assumption, but I just did a trail, and I have seen how wide the Raptor is, and there is no way it would have made this trail. Not without doing damage to the fenders and qtr panels. I am not talking brush either, but trees and rocks. My Bronco just makes it through in spots, and this is not unusual in B.C.
Yes there are lot of trails where it will do just fine, but the Northeast of the U.S., and the PNW trails would certainly limit the scope of where it would go.
And yes, I have watched the vid from Lite Bright. No question the Raptor is capable, but, bottom line, its width will be limiting.
As to B.C., being beautiful, I am biased, but I would definitely agree!
