Based on your values and opinions it sounds like you have made a great decision. But to publicly chastise someone for choosing to spend their money differently than you (as in "I would not have spent my money that way") comes across as "I know better than you and you should not have done that". I find that a bit arrogant. You are probably a really nice guy. I absolutely commend you on your purchasing decisions. It sounds to me that in this market (supply and demand) you have found yourself a phenomenal purchase. My only problem is when someone else is saying "I think I got a deal" you are coming in and saying "no you didn't".... and to be honest, I disagree with you. I think he got a really good deal. I understand that it does not hold up to your values. His values are obviously something different as are mine.

Again, I commend you on what appears to be a fantastic deal on your purchase.
I think you took it the wrong way. I wasn't chastising anyone. People can spend their money any way they wish. Unfortunately, I think this country's economy is spiraling out of control and its a sad state of affairs that we have gotten to the point to where people are excited about having to pay "only $5k" over MSRP for a vehicle. It's placed the average family man in a difficult position.

Exactly, ADMs are a supply and demand thing I get it but if people refused to pay them they wouldn't exist.
I tracked about 30 of these and this was the only on that came in at $5k, everyone else was $20k-$35k. Someone might pay it, but those might sit longer, or they may negotiate down a bit, we may not know the final prices. For a truck like this, I have no problem with a dealer testing the market and seeing where it ends up, frustrating yes, but that’s a free market. I said no and laughed at the $35k dealers. But I was patient and when someone finally said $5k, I jumped. Everyone has their number. The real problem is when there’s bait and switch or when they steal from someone who already negotiated a price and waited months/years. That’s not ok.

Heavy stuff for a Saturday morning 6G Bronco HE thread. We all have opinions like A…. Er, never mind.

I just wish Ford would build them as promised. Sitting here in Detroit waiting to fly back to Dallas. Drove by HQ and wish I could move them along. I have learned a lot about the manufacture business this week and it is not going to get any better 😁

if you have your HE, awesome and jealous. If yours is in the way, congrats and for those of us who ordered wrong with some odd-ball combo, like me, we are not getting one anytime soon 😵💫

Cheers and GOD Bless America!

Very good points.... I just see this purchase as a little bit different than the typical vehicle purchase. Broncos are probably the highest demand vehicle in the geographic region I live in. There are lots of vehicles here that are offered at less than MSRP right now. The Bronco is definitely not one of them. There are people getting their broncos at less than, but they have been on very long waiting lists... Much like you. There are claims that one of the dealers here is not selling over MSRP. I think that is great. But I have never seen one on their lot. All the rest seem to have significant ADM.... 6 months ago every Bronco listed on line had at LEAST a $20000 ADM.... They are down to $5000 now. Rapters are still at $25000 and people are paying it. The problem is that they are all sold before they even reach the lot. There is nothing on the lots... In 24 months of watching and searching I have found 1 used Bronco that I could take my wife to even look at. I am sure there have been a few that I have missed. Sad thing I think is happening here is that MOST of these broncos will never touch dirt. Status symbol mall crawlers. That is driving up the price.

I think your arguments are valid. And yet the reality is if you want one and are not wanting to wait your turn (for years in most cases) then you have to pay the "rush fee". The Limited on the other hand is not typically something you can order. A couple people have been able to secure their dealer's allotment before it is built, but for most of us it is just buy it as soon as it is available or someone else will.

For what it’s worth, I did not read it as chastising. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

The thing is, I’m more excited about owning the truck than getting it for $5k over.

And while I didn’t buy purely as an investment, I do look at it from another perspective - I didn’t pay $5k over, I acquired it at whatever price and now have potentially $20k-$30k additional equity sitting there, instantly. I like that.

btw I’m a economics and pricing expert with a masters from UNC, so just the color alone makes it worth it. ;)

Now to see what the market will decide TRD PRO is worth at 66k miles considering it was about $42k in 2015. I think I’ll ask $40k to start. I guess I’m no better than the dealers today.

I am glad you did not see it that way... and to be honest I am probably being way overly sensitive this morning... Had a client that chewed out one of my employees yesterday in what appears to be an effort to simply get a price reduction. It set me off and I am a bit protective of my "family" at work. My employee did absolutely nothing wrong and in fact had bent over backwards and gone the extra mile to take care of this client. Have we made mistakes? Yes, and we will always own those. Sorry for bringing that baggage here.... Fricken overly sensitive old man.

Terrible strategy, hate to see it. That’s why asshole tax exists. Time to raise taxes!

Anybodies status change?
I'm still listed as in productions since 6/29. Modules are populated and Tear Tag is there. Not sure if has shipped yet but from what I've been reading from other folks tracking it probably has. Emailed he dealer in Fairbanks to see what they have for status. I'm under no delusion that it will be here very fast from the build date all the way in Alaska. Has to go by rail then ship from Seattle to Anchorage and then truck to Fairbanks. I live near Anchorage so it will go right by the house on the way up there. Local dealer refused to order it for me. Not a big fan of Kendall Ford now.

No tear tag yet so not sure if they finished up on mine yesterday or not. Only one shift on Broncos and Rangers right? No weekends? What's the old adage, don't buy a car built on a Monday or Friday? 😥

I think mine populated with the modules on the next day (7/19) the blend date was 7/18.

I’m not sure it really matters which day. People can do stupid things any day of the week. I know I can!

After a couple of days in the rail yard, got the call late Wednesday night, hopped a flight next afternoon, salesman picked me up from the airport, drove it back 5 hours, got in at 2am.

I still can’t believe my luck.
$5k ADM

I’m loving mine. Can’t believe how beautiful this beast is inside and out. The colors work so well together. Congrats!

Yeah, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I think all of us in this Bronco waiting game are a little on edge. Robin's egg blue is a pretty sweet color. I got tired of driving black, grey, white and silver cars my whole life and now gravitate towards more bold or unique colors. If you keep that in good shape you, most likely, won't lose much money.

You'll get good money for your TRD PRO. I paid $44,800 for my 2019 Voodoo Blue PRO and got $41,000 when I traded it in for my 2023 solar octane PRO. Drove it for 3 years and put 47k miles on it and only lost $3800. Paid MSRP for my 2023 PRO which was $56k. A local dealer offered me $57k for it a month or so ago. I'm not gonna sell it.
