Ford's going to have to figure something out because what they've put out is there will be no '23 orders automatically rolling over to '24 like there was previously, each order will be cancelled and you'll have to resubmit.
I also read if you get shut out in MY 23' to a MY 24' you lose any price protection previously granted. GHAAA!!

I know but is the price protection just for HE'S without a VIN is thd question

Yep, Ford's going to have to figure out a solution for the HE's and quickly. We all ordered them following what Ford put out and expecting them to be built in '23 based on their calculations of what they could build. That all went to shit when they couldn't start building these in March and has snowballed in to what we have now with unscheduled orders and VIN build dates precariously near the end of the MY close-out.

I know you're not going to respond but @Ford Motor Company you need to actually put out some information to order holders and not just your share holders!

Dealers will be setting priority codes for the new model year orders.
I am hoping that for the unbuilt '23 orders that stick it out, dealers will set them up with the lowest PC codes they give out when MY 24 order banks re-open and '23 orders will need to be re-submitted.

I hope you are right and they don't add HE orders when they cant build the ones they have in the books as they are unable to fulfill current orders with their constant supply chain issues. It is amazing how incompetent they look, but hopefully the Ford bot will clear that up for them.
Priority codes only matter at that particular dealer IF they even have allocations for the build. It's not random as you can see from the below, each trim is allocated so they can only build so many HE's a month. If they bump you down to the lowest pri code and they don't have any HE allocations then Ford is going to skip right over you and something like a BB or BD will be picked up for scheduling that they can build.

I was scheduled for an 8/9 build and got the email last night that I am now 8/21. Not as bad as you October folks, but I'm a 4 door HE, 2.7 L automatic. Maybe that is why? I am also an original reservation holder, PC 10.

depends on the dealer! Not sure I can turn this into a deal worth doing but I might try.

If I ever get mine I'm almost afraid to drive it, one fender bender and you'll be OOC waiting on parts forever!
I'm not going to drive mine much. Last year, I gave up on getting a Bronco as a daily driver because I just couldn't count on Ford to build me one. My 2 door Heritage is a retirement gift to myself and it's gonna be a garage queen that only goes out to cruise the beach on sunny warm days.

I may have an opportunity to buy a HEL 2 door I know it's a lot of money but I may pull the trigger. With all this uncertainty and not knowing I I'm going to get my Bronco makes me nervous

I also got bumped to Oct 2, however I seriously doubt they will build this vehicle or most of ours this year, if at all. It’s been a long 2.5 years at this point, trying to buy a used one now but damn!, the used prices are crazy high still!

It is and it isn't, we're in a strange time where there's $100k pickup trucks out there now. I will say my standard Heritage is the most I've ever spent on a vehicle though but I've banked payments for the past three years as a down payment. If you can swing the HE-L and find one with minimal or no ADM then I wouldn't feel guilty about it at all!

I always thought the Limited wasn't that great of value compared to the standard but really once you max out a Badlands with all the options it's $65k and you're not getting the mod top which was $1795 back in '21 so figure that'll be at least $2500 now!

Here's my other ride. Not expecting my Bronco to be anywhere near the build quality of this beast.

Needs a white top, grill, and wheels to get recognized by the bot!
