How much would a scrap yard give me for 5 OBX wheels and OEM running boards?

It’s common knowledge that you can hardly give away the OBX wheels. Also took off my factory running boards. Just curious if anyone is in the scrap industry and could give me a very “rough” estimate. Thanks.

Scrap alumunum is running 15-20 cents a pound. So, 4 to 5 bucks a wheel.
Ouch, may just head to the dump then. The price for customization. 😩

If you'd be willing to ship (I'd pay of course), I may take them off your hands.
PM me if you'd be willing. If you don't want to ship, don't worry about it, I understand.

15-20 is very generous actually, I was just quoted 7.5 recently.

if low miles, your dealer might give you a couple hundred bucks? Mine was talking about it for my OBX take-offs.

Good luck! I can't even sell my Badlands wheels and KO2s at bargain price. The majority must be upgrading to 35s+ immediately.

Depends on the alloy actually and even so your figure is low. Either way wouldn't get a ton for them scrap wise

Clean 6063 aluminum is currently between 60 and 70 cents / pound. This is the alloy I deal with the most. If I knew the alloy of the wheels I could get a price.

Looks like a quick google search aluminum wheels are usually 356 alloy and thats going for quite a wide range depending on the area. Low end I have seen 44 cents a pound high end 78 cents pound

Advertise the wheels over in the Ranger Forum and see if you get a bite. Outside of that there's plenty of wheels listed on FB for SC but seems everyone here is really proud of them so advertise them for cheap just to get rid of them.

The running boards I would think as a different story, those I'd advertise here with shipping not included and see what responses you get.

I always state this on every forum, price them to sell, not what you think they are worth. We would all love to get the most money possible on anything we sell, but it just about never works out that way.

I’d be surprised some one up north wouldn’t want them for winter tires.

I see a Blizzak DVM-2 in 255/70-18 (32.1") , ..... that would be a badass winter set up!

Hmmmm....

I like mine. I missed a set of free ones. I want to try powder coating a set a different color. But want to keep mine in case I don’t like the results.
