I've been going round and round with my dealer on price protection. We've spent hours on the phone with Ford. I've been told all along price protection would apply to my reservation and now that I'm close to delivery Ford seems to have amnesia.

Here's my story:
  • I secured a reservation for a Wildtrak on July 14, 2020
  • My dealer converted my reservation to an order on October 6, 2022 for a 2DR HE MT
  • Order was confirmed by Ford on October 7, 2022.
  • Bronco was schedule for production January 19, 2023 and since then i've received more than a dozen date changes.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get my price protection certificate to show up on Smart Vincent?

Here's a couple good links I've found while digging. Thought I'd share since some folks are getting close to taking delivery.

Unfortunately I am experiencing the very same thing.

Original order was for a Base placed on 1/29/2022.

Converted my order to regular Heritage Edition on 9/23/2023.

Dealer followed all of the COVP process and none of my personal info changed (address, email, phone number etc.) from the day of the original order.

I called the Ford marketing number to verify and the only “offer” in Smart Vincent” is a local market offer for a Bronco Sport for $0.

I have asked my salesperson to work with the dealership’s management to get it sorted (including reaching out to the COVP HQ) but he is not being very proactive on the communication front, which is getting frustrating.

My current build/blend date is 7/13/2023 so I’ve got a little time to get it figured out, but I believe my salesperson thinks we have all kinds of time and is slow rolling getting it sorted.

I am hoping that Ford can get it worked out in the Smart Vincent system or I suppose I’ll just have to start bugging the dealer daily (or ask them to connect me with their region rep) especially if I get a “Built” notification next week.

@Ford Motor Company I’d love some assistance in getting the 2023 Model Transition Private Offer issues sorted on behalf of myself and many customers that are not getting clear info from our dealers.

Ok so I’ve poked around and don’t have an acceptable answer as of yet so here goes….
What can we do to not have the rear camera look like a cheap Amazon back up camera? Honestly.

Tire cover? They have rings for cameras and the covers do make them more flush appearing. Also I think I remember seeing that someone that did a Heritage tribute paint the "appendage" white to blend in a little better with the white wheel spare.

Can you imagine the wheels turning in the overlanding tent company's heads right now with the opportunity to create access through the cab to the tent with this option? 😃

Speaking with Ford customer service yesterday they recommended I speak with the Ford regional rep in my area. They told me they are are not allowed to give out their contact info but to call my dealer and ask for it. I called my dealer and they told me they are not allowed to give out the the regional rep contact info either but they would pass along my contact info to him. Does anyone know how to lookup/contact the Ford regional reps?

Ursaminor has the below pop-up conversion for the Honda Element with a pass thru.

They've shown a Bronco four door option for awhile now and they're evaluating a two door version but no updates since '22. Supposedly these could be financed into the cost of the truck thru Ford dealers but I've never seen someone post they have one.

It really depends on what the future of the mod top is going to be on what the aftermarket will support. Hopefully Ford got these right and they show up on the '24 and future option list like they originally did for '21.

The point is so you can stand up? Seems like an excessive means to get to that end.

I'd say it's more for internal access to the tent. The access panel doesn't look big enough to make it a full stand up to actually do anything.

It'd be cool if someone could figure out how to do this ...

But don't see that happening.

I’d rather pull something behind than attach to the vehicle but then I’ve been pulling trailers for many decades and it just seems to be the easiest way but I could see a roof top tent in some specific applications ( White rim road) but then having a large hole in the floor would seem to negate that point.

But, I’m sure some enterprising outfit will exploit the “overlanding” phenomenon happening today.

Finally got an update. Right after the 45 day notification email...

What was your blend date by chance? I just got the 45 day email and my blend date was 6/29. No other updates. I really wasn't expecting any this week but nice to see some of you getting them.

Just ran the numbers on the HEL 2 to 4dr comparison (of the ones I am tracking that are in production/scheduled to be in production). I know its still early and that more 2drs are on the way. But on the surface, these numbers would support the belief of many hear that the 2 dr models (in general) will be the rarest models on the road
