But let’s be honest, if someone offered you 40k would you say “no thanks, I only want what I paid for it plus a little extra to pay for my time” or “show me the money!”

Honestly I don't think I'd take 40k over for mine, at least at the moment. I've been waiting three years since my reservation, filling that time on this site and researching parts and issues like most of us old timers here. Hate to sound like whatever but that three years of my time is worth more than 40k to me.

Now I may hate it, I've truly only sat in a 6G once and have never driven one. If it's a big disappointment then at that point then I might look at what the market would bear and price it accordingly but I hope that's not the case.

It appears the HEL for our somewhat local dealer has shipped, hoping it arrives soon so I can go take a look in person. Same place I have my HE order, so hopefully they will let me look inside.

Oh, you won’t be disappointed trust me. They are a blast on and off the road and the 7MT is great.

I wouldn’t sell mine either at this point but I don’t blame them for asking if someone is willing to pay for it. Now, if someone ordered it expecting MSRP, and they pulled this, then release the hounds!

We should be really close to seeing one sitting in somebody's driveway.
My window sticker says 7/10 blend date. My dealership is telling me it will arrive on 7/29. Still haven't gotten my private offer issue straightened out though. Ford will continue to torture me until the 11th hour. My dealership has been pleasant and helpful through this whole thing but, overall, a pretty lousy experience. Can't give up now. With retail price protection and my certificate, I'll be getting my 2 door manual Heritage for $5k under sticker. If I don't take it, they'll prob put it on the lot for $10k over sticker.

serious question,
What do we do about backseat cup holders?
What do you do???? You don't let anyone bring liquids into your back seat that they could spill on your retro cloth seats, that's what you do.

See that's why I'm not a reservation holder like you. I wanted one from the beginning, but I couldn't bring myself to buy something I couldn't see and drive. I put my original order in right after my test drive and promise of MSRP.

My blend date is 7/13 but I don't have to deal with rail so that helps.

You will not be disappointed. As bad as the oval screwed up the rollout they nailed it with this thing. To me it’s as close to a perfect vehicle as there is. The stance, the way it rides and the functionality…I’ve been in one for 14 months and I feel like I’m driving it off the lot the first time almost every time.

Ha! I’ve got two boys, they only drink water in the car no food.

the $53,160 MSRP that they start out with looks inflated, the only extra option listed over standard Heritages was keyless entry, using the B& P with the April 10 prices you get:

PRICING SUMMARY
  • BASE MSRPS1
    $46,605
  • OPTIONSS4
    + $110
  • ACCESSORIESS8
    + $0
  • DESTINATION CHARGESS17
    + $1,895
  • ACQUISITION FEES18
    + $645
  • TOTAL MSRPS16
    = $49,255

  • ESTIMATED NET PRICES5
    = $49,255

  • MONTHLY PAYMENTS6
    $611
I don't know what the acquisition fee is about but it was automatically added to the price by the system.
The acquisition fee is for leasing. If you change the tab to finance, it goes away.
