I haven't taken delivery of my ride yet, but your product intrigues this old bubblehead.

Pretty easy to figure out if you looked at the other products mentioned in the OP. No guessing involved.
to market your product, never ask the customer to do research to figure out what it is.
many people on here asking the same thing - WHAT IS THIS WHERE DOES IT GO

For mounting a camera, mid cabin, to shoot through the windshield, over the drivers shoulder?

Yea that was my though process. I also thought my kids would get a kick out of their iPad mounted from arms hanging from the room figured this would help me rig something up. Plus I've got some other idea rolling around now that I have an interface to work off of.

interesting. Becasue its delrin you probaby already thought of the threaded insert coming from the back like a T-Nut, but for plastic - so the threads dont spin and strip out the threaded insert ridges over time

I did yes. I tried to avoid it because fasteners are surprisingly expensive. In the end the exotic plastics were just too expensive.
Ford Bronco [New Product By ModCrate!] Modular Latch Plates Sectional Cut

The color schema might not make the most sense for separating parts but its set up for how I work. The light blue hatch is the delrin rub plate. The pink 25 degree hatch is the adapter plate and the pink 45 degree hatch is both the insert and the bolt.

Pretty cool idea and way more reasonable than those guys who want to charge $600 for an accessory rail.
