jokes (and reality) aside, you being in San Diego, I would think the most useful would be the remote start which is app-based (at least it's app based for the Ranger). But even that has a few hiccups and after a few times using it, we basically gave up on it.

Please do. I thought because there was no way to assure the transmission was in neutral for remote start. I'll be happy if the electronics allow me to run it with doors locked and no one in it.
Yes, the entire two weeks a year it rains and is, "a little chilly" require remote start or a light jacket may be absolutely necessary!

Trail Turn AKA the donut button appears to be the favorite auto-only feature, but I bet one-pedal driving on the trail or the 5 anytime outside of 2-3am will be convenient with a cold beverage.

Ha! You ask that question at Beer-Thirty on a Friday.... I will let the diehards on both sides answer that one. FWIW, When I was young, I only had manuals on all my off road vehicles. Never thought a thing of it. That said, when I was young, there were a lot a things that I did not think much about, that I probably should have.
I have an auto now - considering going back to manual.

M/T is more fun for sure,now if they would put paddle shifters like my Honda pioneer 1000,the fun factor would be there for the A/T

i’m genuinely curious. i’ve never driven one so I have no ground to hate, I just don’t know much about manual transmissions at all.

I am not super passionate on either side but I think driving a M/T is more enjoyable. I enjoy the added control. The A/Ts of today are getting better and through the computer sorcery are giving some of the control back. At the end of the day a M/T provides a metal to metal contact between the motor and the wheels.The A/T is often connected via the transmission fluid and will always struggle to provide the same experience. You could argue that the A/T makes tough stuff easier, but low gears make tough stuff easier too. An A/T can get hot on long climbs, or in technical sections. That is about as objective as I can be. I am sure someone will come along and tell me how I am all screwed up. ?
I hope we get the trail turn with the MT.
Never needed it / knew it existed, but it looks cool.
Could be useful on something like Black Bear Pass but I am not sure I would be comfortable using it.
Is the advanced transfer case going to require the auto? Thats what I'm afraid of personally.
