Do you have to be in/near the Bronco and running for the app to work properly? Laying in bed at 2am didn’t produce anything.

2 years ago: The Bronco Trail App is gonna be the coolest thing ever!!! I can't wait for it to be released!

6 months ago: I guess Ford gave up on the Trail App. I'll just pay for On-X.

Now: I already pay for On-X, which has way more trails, what do I need the Trail App for?

Wow excited then disappointed.
We generally run 2 places in PA... AOAA and Rausch Creek. Rausch isnt even represented and AOAA has dozens of trails, but the app only show 3 loops. I certainly hope its a work in progress.
yeah I noticed that. I'm sure it is a work in progress. :)

As someone who has vocally bitched about Fords rug pull on this promised feature for almost 2 years now, I am happy to see it wasn't forgotten about.

Yes active on Ford pass. 22 black diamond mid package. So there it is.
I paid 657 dollars for navigation and i got a 90 day subscriptions. Not willing to pay the yearly subscription when Google maps works just fine. Already on onX offroad.

Has to be something with your account. I also have a 2022 Black Diamond mid package and it connected just fine.

Edit: Oh, are we thinking it is due to the 90-day nav option expiring? Mine is in the tail end of that not but not yet expired. If that is the case, also will be super disappointed.

So... shouldn't this have been incorporated into the head unit? Shouldn't it have been recording the front camera? (if equipped)

Ford should have engineered the Bronco so that they all had the front camera, GPS, and trail maps built-in.

This seems like an incredible waste of money and time on Ford's part.

Is this just a way for Ford to deny warranty claims? On-X and other are likely far superior in the areas covered and not link directly to Ford.
Ford has already sent vehicle telemetry to the cops so... I can see it happening.

Ford has already directly said that off roading alone doesn’t affect warranty coverage, so I doubt this app will make a difference.
True. Had a rock scrape on front diff and skid plate right behind it. Front diff started leaking, they fixed leak under warranty with no issue.

Truthfully, I think they missed the boat. On X is now available on Apple play. So it works from the 12 inch screen just fine. A little late to the party Ford.
OnX is pretty useless on the Bronco dash screen. Anything useful you want to do with OnX - you have to do from some other device. (phone, laptop, etc). Once it projects to the dash - there is very little useful information there. See this thread for details https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/onx-carplay-interface-sucks-a-warning-not-a-rant.69408/

Hopefully Ford has improved over OnX. Will be taking a look shortly. But I doubt it as think most of the problems are not the app….it’s the restrictions Apple puts in place on CarPlay.
