Steering rack bushings cheap options and alternatives. Reviews pending!

This 100%. I was looking for an explanation why his $350 piece of “plastic” is superior to RCs $50 piece of “plastic”.

Also why is the video so chopped up with edits. There’s one sentence where there’s about 4 cuts in it. I felt like I was watching a ransom video.

And to the wife crying that she doesn’t get to see her grandchild, that’s a you problem, not an us(consumer) problem. You can’t tell me she’s missing spending time with the grandkid because she wants to out of the goodness of her heart put in 110% to getting products out to bronco owners. There comes a point when you have to make a decision what’s more important, family or the all mighty dollar.

I dont have a bronco business and dont live paycheck to paycheck. And DAILY I continue, i know it sounds crazy, to have to decide what i spend my time on.

Homie is pissed. Apparently America is officially dead and I’m the sole reason why. But is it really a lost sale if I can’t afford $350 hence why I’ve never purchased it? If this thing was $199 or $150 I would have already purchased it, but 700% more for plastic that could probably be 3D printed at this point?

I couldn't watch more than a few minutes of this. IDK why so many people here support this guy. He's gotta sharpen his pencil plain and simple...happens to all of us. Chasing the "American dream" is tough sledding I know...crying to me about it doesn't help...GEEZ

I'm getting my Bronco next week and collecting all my parts. Badlands, lift with eibach springs, run 35s. Will install steering bushings. What would you do for tie rods (leave them alone or JK sleeve, or something else). thanks for advise

I don't remember exactly how they worded it, but I thought that comment was geared more toward using a metal bushing in the OEM rack as opposed to a poly/delrin bushing. I don't think the slight misalignment from a non-concentric delrin bushing is going to be stressing the housing all that much, as you're naturally going to get some deflection and misalignment in the rack when you start putting torque on it from the pinion or loading up one tire more than the other. Probably more misalignment from normal use than what the housing tolerance gives you, at any rate.

They presented their argument in terms of stiff connections. With delrin bushings these would wear in for the none-eccentricity.

Personally I like to carry spares and I use Level Up jam nut sleeves. IMO you don't want them to be too strong so the jam nut sleeves are great.

It would be a pain in the but, however if you want budget DIY you can just use a bunch of nuts together on the tie rod with red Loctite. should do the trick of reinforcing.

My understanding is you definitely want the bushing if you have the brace, because the rack will be the first thing to break if the tie rods can't.

I would take the braces off till you upgrade the rack. I killed my steering rack with just JKS sleeves.

Cancel that CJ order while you can. They are doing you a favor by not having it.

Saying they have it and taking your order and then saying it's backordered is the SOP for CJ.
