I've got just over a 1K miles on my 2.3 4-door OBX. All city driving and I've come to the conclusion that ECO mode is a liar. I switched to Sport and put in 91 octane. MPG went from 18.4 to 18.7. Sport mode is just fun!

What's your city/hwy driving mix? Not sure if it matters that much since the spread is relatively narrow.

10% or less city.

Mostly Highway driving (50-70mph) and country road driving (40-55)

We have put over 7,000 miles on our Bronco (Badlands with 2.7) and are getting 20.6 mpg.

Update:
Travelled 400 more freeway miles and the mpg jumped up to 20.8. 😁

4Dr Base Sasquatch 2.7L - Exactly 17.0 mpg

Most of these were highway miles driven in Normal mode. Sasquatch definitely hurts.

It looks like you are getting about 350 miles between fill-ups. Just curious if you are filling up before, after, or right when the low fuel light comes on. In addition to MPGs, I like to know how many miles per tank, from a convenience stand point. My 3rd gen 4Runner is super annoying on road trips because it can't get 300 miles to a tank.

As a side note, I like to use Fuelly.com to see how others are doing too.

MPG on my first gas tank:-

4 Dr 2.7L engine, stock wheels (non Sas)

Using ONLY Normal mode in 2H in mix of city/highway (%70 more city driving) and keeping it under 3500 RPM for the break in period .... i haven't breached 80 MPH on the highway and city driving has been the normal stop n go 15 to 50 MPH .... i had passengers about half the time but no extra weight other than that

Computer gizmo says 20.8 mpg
Math says 21.08 mpg

pretty dang close

Yes, it is a rocket and that's the way I describe it to people.

Gonna guess my 2dr w 2.7 will be a blast to drive! Haven’t been in a nonsquatched 2.7 yet. Much less a 2dr like what I’ve ordered.

What speed do you drive? Big difference between 70 and 80 fuel economy

2.7, Badlands, 4 Door, Sasquatch, soft top....economy mode...mostly around 64,65,66 mph, sunny, 70 degrees

my first 300 miles was around 17.8 average

however when I hit 900 miles it started to do much better.

today, I reset my trip gauge and from my work parking place to my home driveway I hit 20.9

about 47 miles highway and 3 miles or so city.
