I followed these last fall. None sold and prices kept dropping. They def didn’t hold any extra real value.

I had one on order originally and dealer sold it out from under me. I found one in December w 8k miles. Looked like it just rolled out of the dealer. Got the navy interior (Karen, lol) once I saw it in person…better than boring black imo. If they would at least have put more gray and silver in the black interior, I would have considered it. Even the passenger dash insert is black.

Anyway, got mine for 70. Totally intended to lose money on it, driven it over 2k miles so far, no regrets and loving it. The lightning blue is about my favorite exterior color on any vehicle I’ve ever had.

I thought , as was mentioned, AMB was actually rarer than Lightning, but I feel like I've seen a ton of 2dr Base Broncos in AMB on this site.
I'm not sure if it's because there are a ton of us around (BaseSquatch AMB)... Maybe, its that we just post waaay to much.

My wife was scrolling through my phone looking for a picture the other day and said, "Why are there more pictures of your Bronco than me?". I really struggled to come up with an "acceptable" answer.

At first I laughed but maybe you're serious, what color is more valuable?
I would think Lightning Blue since it was exclusive to the First Edition.

Lightning Blue, Anti-Matter Black Blue, and Rapid Red were only available for 2021.
True dat.

Anti-matter Black is exclusive to Chick-Fil-A drive through. My Buckingham Blue LR3 suffered being labeled black on the seller title.

Rule of the thumb, the most undesirable color (ugly, unwanted, rare, etc) will one day bring the most money. So if purchasing a Bronco, with intentions of not driving it for 30 years, in hopes it one day will be a collector's car, pick an ugly color.

And we know for a fact, Jack, that First Editions were NOT built FIRST. some even ended up as 22s.
Crazy to get a '22 as a First edition, kind of reminds me of the Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition pickups which were not first off the line either! :ROFLMAO:

Love my velocity blue Wildtrak but I would love it even more if it was lightning blue!

Most likely due to the current economic and political conditions rather than the true value. Wait about 15 20 years when 2/3 of first editions have been trashed or heavily modified and see what happens to the prices on a clean unmolested one.

Honorable mention/runner up for Antimatter Black Broncos? I don't think AMB could be had on a FE though.

There are a ton of Antimatter Base Broncos because Ford initially limited the colors on the Base.

Anyone remember which options were available on the Base that first year? I do remember for sure that it was no Cactus Gray, no Cyber Orange, no Race Red. Am I missing any?

Antimatter Blue and Rapid Red probably had high take rates on the Base since they were the only "colors" available on the Base that first year.

Oh, right. I forgot that one. So was it just black, white, silver, gray, plus Rapid Red and Antimatter Blue?

That might have been all of them. 🤔
