I suggest you get a refund and go with someone with less complaints online .... UPR is one that comes to mind right nowI'll let you know when it happens. Lol Here's hoping it doesn't though.

Hi @BroncoLV - thanks for sharing your experience. I do apologize this return process has taken longer than planned. If anyone cares for an update on the CEL issue. The CCV side of Mishimoto dual catch can was causing my CEL light to come on. After trying to work with their support they stated that they have seen this issue before and it is caused by the air pressure change due to the catch cans. Their two solutions where either pack the catch can with steel wool which did not work or pay for a tune to recalibrate the pressure sensor so the CEL doesn't come on any more. I have since removed the entire setup and working with the vendor to return it under a warranty issue but @Mishimoto has not been very helpful on this matter. It has been over a week and they are quote "Still working on getting the RMA issued for it". I personally will not be purchasing anything else from Mishimoto but the vendor Alex from @Motoroso has been great, very helpful and I highly recommend them.
Thank you for the chime in John.Hi @BroncoLV - thanks for sharing your experience. I do apologize this return process has taken longer than planned.
To make sure we are on the same page, your Bronco's CEL is the first we have heard. We have sold many, many Bronco catch can kits and have not had issues. For some other, select, applications, we have seen CELs. Those, too, have been very isolated. I'm sorry this product does not work for your specific Bronco. Every vehicle is different, every vehicle has different modifications, and many vehicles in different geographic locations.
Regarding the recommendation to stuff the catch can with steel wool, I am unsure why our Customer Service rep recommended this. In addition, we never recommend tuning around a potential issue. I apologize for the misdirection provided, this is not our standard protocol.
Bronco community - please feel free to post here, send a DM, or contact our Experience Team if you have any CEL issues with your dual Mishimoto 2.7L Baffled Oil Catch Can. We are committed to this platform and are happy to work with the community.

I am not sure. I just saw the Ford Pass App state Crankcase Ventilation Hose Sensor and figured that was the CCV side. When I would clear the code it would just come back within 3 days. Removing the CCV side it would not come back.@BroncoLV The CEL issue is strange. I'm running about 15k miles and 3 oil changes with the dual catch can set up and haven't thrown even a quite code yet. Been around the country in different altitudes and different strains on the engine by offroading. Hopefully it can get figured out.
**** Wouldn't code P051B be related to the PCV side though and not the CCV side? I'm not sure though, I used to have a literal tool "cup" before getting the Bronco.
Thanks for posting and definitely something to look out for.I am not sure. I just saw the Ford Pass App state Crankcase Ventilation Hose Sensor and figured that was the CCV side. When I would clear the code it would just come back within 3 days. Removing the CCV side it would not come back.

Good tip except for us CA folks...sigh...That's what happened to mine. I ordered replacement fittings for mine from UPR. Little more expensive but now I can replace the existing line with ease whenever I want. It just takes a little heat to remove the old fitting and then insert the new one and then let it cool and it's good to go.

https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-vent-tube-mb3z6758cYah I am definitely looking for one of those lines for sure. You get on the ford site and the pcv line is super easy to find but having issues finding the ccv line. If anyone has a link to one of those that would be super helpful.![]()
Thanks for the link! I ended up just getting the UPR fittings and will reuse the stock hose and will be able to remove and replace it anytime. It looks like the one that you send might be a little different than the stock line as it looks like it has a connector in the middle of the line?
That's why I moved out of CA. Just need a friend or family to ship it to first. I doubt any smog tech is going to know these are not factory or being looking for a CARB number or being even looking at these but it is CA and it's your vehicle.Good tip except for us CA folks...sigh...![]()
They must have changed something as that one does not fit my Bronco and looks different than the one I have.
I am running the Mishimoto...I just broke the yellow tabs off the OEM one (there is a tool to release them but I didn't have one) and bought a spare line in case I need to go back to OEM for some reason. That's why I moved out of CA. The pic is a stock drawing but the actual item is a direct match for my 2021.Thanks for the link! Note the drawing does not accurately represent the actual item that you receive... the actual hose with fittings identified by that part number doesn't have a connector in the middle. I'm not sure if 2023 changed the hose and maybe got rid of that stupid yellow clip? That would be awesome. They must have changed something as that one does not fit my Bronco and looks different than the one I have.
