Let's also be transparent that every Bronco in inventory at Serramonte is listed at an insane markup. Broncos at $37K msrp with an "addendumb" of $15,245 for a total price on at $52,535. https://www.serramonteford.com/new-inventory/index.htm?model=Bronco

However, they DO offer free home delivery, so they have that going for them. I'm sure that after charging a 30-40% markup, they'll still ask for that perfect 10 score on the post-purchase phone survey.

That's a hard pass for me. I'll just continue to wait for my 2021...2022...2023 order.

Feel free to check my post history and the reputation we have around here. Those markups aren't for you, they're for non-order/reservation holders that want to buy a bronco right now. All of our order and reservation holders are MSRP or less (save for non-handraiser Raptors).

I applaud your MSRP order program, but retail sales are still a huge part of the dealer reputation problem in today's marketplace. There is just no way around it.

There is a difference between a fair price and gouging the customer. MSRP - $2k ADM could be considered a fair price offering dealer plenty of profit. $10-$15k (30-40%) ADM on a $37k MSRP vehicle is gouging.

Not a jab at you personally, but unfortunately it will take the consumer NOT paying these markups to change dealer behavior. The dealers are 50% of the issue...consumers not willing to say, "No" are the other 50%.

I also hope everyone on this thread receives their order before the model year changes! I've been through three order cycles now and hopefully, all reservation and confirmed order holders get what they want this year at a fair price. Crossing fingers for all.✌

I'm in a market that shouldn't be catering to Bronco, yet we're thriving with them. I am in a market that should be thriving in Mach Es, but those have tanked. My cancellation rate on Mach E is really high, and Bronco really low.
I agree that some in demand vehicles are defying the odds, while others crash. Yukon/Tahoe's are still ridiculously hard to get unless you want base trim and the small engine, and customers will sit on those orders for 18+ months, while a lot of Z72, AT4 pickup orders get cancelled after a few months of waiting.

That said, I also feel like, to pun, the wheels are coming off of EV's a bit and we're starting to see cracks in how well it's really going to work as a replacement for the everyday vehicle for everyone. I think people are starting to see the downsides to them more now that it's more than just the folks that were going to buy an EV regardless of how poor of an everyday family car it was just to save the planet. The media also seems like they are being more unbiased about them, as opposed to only printing the positive.

I'm not a manufacturer, but I would not be surprised to see hybrids become the dominant car over EV's, and that EV's just become unsustainable in the general consumer marketplace. I think Jeep and Toyota's Hybrid idea is a lot more palatable for the general consumer as a replacement for a car that's not just for commuting and to the mall.

EV's are still well under 10% of new cars sold, still a very small market share, and more than 65% of those are Tesla, and Tesla is like Apple. A large part of the reason people buy them because it's a social statement.

What is the story with COVP? I've read some posts saying it's required, but the dealer I ordered with did not have me sign anything, I just provided my DL, and verified the build/order preview. I asked them about it a couple times and they said it wasn't an issue. I did get an order confirmation email from Ford.

Is this still something to be concerned about? I'm not sure I'm going to make any traction pushing them any further on it at this point.
I called my dealer a couple days after I got my confirmation email on 3/27 for the COVP and she said they aren’t due until this month and that they would send mine to me as soon as they got it. We’ll see.

Sigh...and I ordered a 2 Door Black Diamond with hard top and Sasquatch. Looks like I'll be waiting a looooong time.

Maybe only 10% of people will order the black Diamond? I ordered a 4 door hard top non sas.

So this has probably been answered numerous times, but how can I obtain my actual order number? I have the DORA order number, but I know that's dealer specific. Ford Chat?

This particular thread is not the place to discuss this, and I'm always willing to discuss this subject, feel free to start a specific thread or PM me and I'll be happy to discuss. I'll give you a small bit of our logic:

Capitalism is the the chosen market function in the US. Without regulation, transactional prices are set by supply and demand. Some dealers choose to self regulate their pricing, for a number of reasons. We choose not to, for a number of reasons. We value the wait in line, and choose not to reward those who don't have an order/reservation. Obviously, we want to make the most money for our store as well. We also want to limit the number of out of state transactions, as they don't add value at MSRP. Local customers don't pay 15k over, we never really expect them to.

If a guest wants it now, they pay market value; if they value their money more than their time, they can order and wait. Wishing dealers would go away won't change the market dynamics, it'll just change the MSRP at the source as opposed to the outlet

Order number is dealer specific, but it's the only order no.

A lot of it is cyclical. Now that opec cut production, gas will go up, media will stir up the "gas going up again" mud, and people start making vehicle decisions without doing the math. I love our EV lineup, and think long term they'll do well

I think he mispoke. He didn’t mean that they can only produce 10%. What he meant is that the demand is very low for BDs (Less than 10%) so FMC has easily been able to meet the low demand

Its kind of funny the excitement of ordering but then the realization begins to set in , this thing isn’t coming anytime soon and I made some mistakes after reading everything on this forum . I want to say the average wait time is somewhere around 1 to 1.5 Yrs from order date. The best advice on this forum to get your Bronco fast is ,don’t order a SAS (you can get a lift and 35s yourself) . Don’t order a MIC the OEM rattles and cracks, ( go aftermarket or bestop trektop) don’t order LUX they don’t have the chips, don’t order from a small dealer with little allocations and don’t order from a dealer without asking them if they will charge you a markup.
Does anyone know what is considered a big dealer vs small dealer in terms of allocations? Just trying to get an idea if like 20 allocations is a small or medium sized dealer…

This would be nice. I feel the Black Diamond is perfect for me for daily driving but I still get the mgv and rear locker. Perfect setup to run 33” and 2-3” lift. Just hope the MIC doesn’t hold me out til November or not getting built at all.
