Some dealers are limiting their orders based on their available allocation. It's easier to say they're closed than to explain the process to the average guest.


Anecdotally, we had very few cancellations over the last three years. I think it has a lot more to do with available capacity at the factory. Ford has ability to build more Broncos, but the hard top is a supplier limitation. Ford is looking to take more orders in total, but limiting it to stuff they have capacity for (no manual/Everglades/BL optional wheel/base). Some dealers have allocation they can use while other dealers are oversubscribed. For example, I'm way oversubscribed on two door, so we made the decision not to order two doors even though it's possible, within my allocation, It won't get built. Ford also has significant capacity to build soft tops, so I've been preaching to any potential ordering guest to order a soft top if they want it built in 2023 (again, based on capacity vs. my individual allocation).


In the same way that going from Diamond to tungsten. Demand is easing, but I still have a long waitlist for 2024 Bronco.

Thanks for providing a single data point. But I think people were talking about national overall demand. It’s expected to see demands to soften though, feds don’t raise rates for fun..

I'm in a market that shouldn't be catering to Bronco, yet we're thriving with them. I am in a market that should be thriving in Mach Es, but those have tanked. My cancellation rate on Mach E is really high, and Bronco really low.

You're right that I'm one data point, but I'd venture a guess that demand for Bronco has eased nationwide, but it's held up stronger than expected in spite of rates. I think it has a lot to do with it being a very aspirational vehicle that people will want regardless of market conditions.

The overall market for new vehicles is down, but Bronco is really a different animal (relatively speaking of course).

If they're honest with their allocation, you should get built. Soft top all but guarantees production right now.

Welcome new recruits! I remember being in this position April 2021 when reservationists from July 2020 told me the same thing. It's a wild ride! My bronco is officially built as of last week and as of Sunday on a railcar with delivery for mid April

Its kind of funny the excitement of ordering but then the realization begins to set in , this thing isn’t coming anytime soon and I made some mistakes after reading everything on this forum . I want to say the average wait time is somewhere around 1 to 1.5 Yrs from order date. The best advice on this forum to get your Bronco fast is ,don’t order a SAS (you can get a lift and 35s yourself) . Don’t order a MIC the OEM rattles and cracks, ( go aftermarket or bestop trektop) don’t order LUX they don’t have the chips, don’t order from a small dealer with little allocations and don’t order from a dealer without asking them if they will charge you a markup.

People customize Ford vehicles all the time. A lift will not void your warranty , sometimes aftermarket parts are installed incorrectly and directly caused damage. In that case they may deny your claim. Also you don’t need a lift for 35s technically.

If you're worried about warranty coverage you can always order directly from Ford Performance. Higher prices and not as much selection but covered by warranty.

Ordered a BD, 2.7, MIC, modular bumper with SAS with standard package on 3/27. I'm prepared to wait for what I want. I have a 20' mustang GT to hold me over until then but I'm wondering how long the actual wait will be. when I placed my order they said anywhere from late this year or early next but I don't believe them

With how long they kept the banks open for, what they allowed to be ordered, the fact they were able to catch up on so many backlogged orders and the supposed "cancellation" of a bunch of other orders, I'm trying to be optimistic it won't be 1-1.5 years to get the truck. "My dealer said" maybe 3-4 months... but we shall see.

What is the story with COVP? I've read some posts saying it's required, but the dealer I ordered with did not have me sign anything, I just provided my DL, and verified the build/order preview. I asked them about it a couple times and they said it wasn't an issue. I did get an order confirmation email from Ford.

Is this still something to be concerned about? I'm not sure I'm going to make any traction pushing them any further on it at this point.

However, they DO offer free home delivery, so they have that going for them. I'm sure that after charging a 30-40% markup, they'll still ask for that perfect 10 score on the post-purchase phone survey.

That's a hard pass for me. I'll just continue to wait for my 2021...2022...2023 order.

I ordered a heritage edition on the 27th the dealer is a small dealership and found out they only have 3 allocations so I'm thinking I'm pretty much screwed.....
