Hey all...I'm looking to add a front bull bar with an integrated LED light bar that I can wire to one of my Aux switches. I've looked at DV8 and a couple of others, however people here tend to have the best ideas quickest.
I'm not looking for a full frontal coverage, something similar to the...
Depends on whether you want to run a light bar or not. My Heretic bar is still on backorder, so my rack does make more noise than I'd like, however it's really not that big of a deal. I cannot speak to how it sounds with a bar in place, however I don't find mine to be all that annoying.
I'm not sure if I just got lucky, however when I installed my TRMR this past weekend, I didn't have much trouble with the notorious 4 front windscreen bolts. It was tight, so I came up from the windshield side (make sure you leave the windscreen rather loose. As it moves up you can come in from...
@Seahund That is one sweet setup! Looks awesome.
Any tips I should know about? I need to buy this before the wife gets back from her trip and can tell me no.
Thank you all for the insight!
@RagnarKon If I can take the panels off easily, then I don't mind leaving the rack on semi-permanently. I'd just hate to not be able to take the front panels off due to the rack. The missus demands topless summers!
I know, I should have just gotten the stock Ford roof rack, however I was concerned with the ease of taking off the front two panels, as we do that a lot out here.
I'm looking for a roof rack so I can haul skis and snowboards this winter as well as gear for any long hauls. I was considering the...
Before the internet tars and feathers me, yes, I know I didn't buy a luxury sedan and a vehicle that is made to have parts removed will always have some noises or rattles.
That said, I have a rattle in the rear that seems like it's coming from the window itself. It's almost constant and happens...
Agree with Karl. I think mine took a total of 3 days to arrive.
FYI Pressurized and others...the neoprene around where the sub mounts in the enclosure worked. Just needed a little padding.
I'm trying to keep my wife's expectations set...this isn't a luxury sedan, there will be some rattles in...
TCC is correct here. Pulling the panel isn't too bad. Have to be patient where the panel meets the door frame behind the passenger front seat (at least in the 2 DR). Also have to be mindful of the tabs that fit into the frame all the way in the rear. Mine is bent but not broken.
I only broke...
I've sound deadened the fender and flat surfaces on the bottom, however did not put any inside the enclosure itself. Seems like when the sub is fully installed it's a little deep for the enclosure. Wonder if some Dynamat on the inside would work.
Thanks for the advice.
For those of you who've done this, how did you mount the Kicker sub? I screwed it in with the 6 holes that were available and it rattles so much I've run out of cuss words to use.
I've pulled it all apart and am considering putting thin neoprene strips around where the sub meets the box and on...
I feel your pain man. I ruined a few of those installing the Mabett mudflaps, but at least Mabett sent a few replacements knowing that's the weak spot.

Although I'll say that while these help, they don't solve the problem. Definitely cut down on the pings of rocks I hear, but not fully resolved. I'm looking into PPF right now. They do provide enough ground clearance...
Oh yes...massive improvement in sound quality and loudness. As others here have mentioned, they're almost a little TOO clean. There is almost zero bass out of these and they need some to even them out. Putting these in convinced me that I need the sub. Sub has been purchased, and all I need to...
You've got all the info you need here, but in case you need more...this is the difference between the stock rear roll bar pods and upgrades from SSV which are plug and play.
My plan is to keep these rear pods, add a Fusion amp and 6.5" Sub. The stupid plastic panel pins and Forscan are the...
