Many of the window screen / vent options out there do not work in the Bronco because they are designed to go around the window frame (which the Bronco does not have).

I have seen several Bronco options available for purchase (one is nearly $200!!), and I have seen several do-it-yourself options, but they do require some cutting / gluing, etc. .

So I went to Lowe's and I found this adjustable window screen that was like $9. I adjusted the width, I put some pool noodle foam on it, and it fits quite snuggly in the rear window. There is a tiny 1 mm gap on one of the margins that I will fill or cover with something - maybe a strip of painter's tape.

I think this will work very well for my needs. Total cost was about $15. The work and time involved is almost nothing. Takes less than 30 seconds to put in or take out. Definitely easier than some of the other DIY options I have seen.

Links to what you used?
@Warthog Lover hasn't been seen since June of 2024. He's likely not going to see your question.

If you look at his post, it looks like a leaf gutter guard product that he painted and used U-channel weatherstripping.

Nice job!

That's too fancy for me. I just tape some screen material to the side of the window. Rolls up & stores easy enough 🤠

Nice solutions.
I used the slip over mesh on my F150 for years to get airflow and keep bugs out while sleeping., $13.
hmm I guess no good with no frame. Like OP said. duh
Maybe I'll have to tape em on. LOl
They came with magnets and 2 sided tape wonder if they could go on inside.
Or try your solution...Now I love your idea.

This is pretty genius. I’ve ordered the screens. I’m thinking foam pipe insulation would be better than pool noddles though. Available in a variety of diameters and comes with a lengthwise slit. Of course, pool noodles work too

for now I’m thinking something like this but I’ll decide once I get the screen in my hands
