No idea. Never stepped foot into the dealer. Never sent them any of my information. Didn’t sign anything etc. i did the COVP with the second dealer today.
I doubt you will ever see that first Bronco. If the dealer did indeed order it without your consent, and somehow gets through the COVP, they are never going to tell you about it. It will become a dealer stock vehicle with a huge markup.
As long as it doesn’t affect my actual order I placed through the 2nd dealer today, that’s fine by me.
I disagree respectfully. Keeping the assembly line running “full time” and as efficiently as possible is Ford’s responsibility to their shareholders. When they run out of specific parts they still want to keep the line running no matter who’s “next in line”.
I doubt it would. You can place as many orders you want, with as many dealers as you want. I believe I read on this board that some have actually done that trying to increase their odds of getting one. Could be an effective strategy if the dealers don't require a deposit. Not a good idea if you ultimately loose a deposit because you back out at a later date.
I doubt it. Through the 2022 reordering process my dealer placed 2 identical orders for me on the same day. I assume by different people and by mistake? They arrived at the dealer one month apart.
After reading all the posts here of special order Broncos being sold out from under the original orderer/buyer, I would be extremely careful about assuming anything. A deposit in many States constitutes a legal acceptance to the offer to sell by your dealer. Make sure you have the DORA with both your’s and their’s signature on it. It would appear at the moment that you have nothing to guarantee the order stays as yours. How honest is your dealer??

Are they charging you ADM? They told me they were at the start of this month so I went with Maplecrest Ford Mendham. Did they give you allocation information?
I don't think you'll regret SAS -- I wish I had it in my Badlands. I thought I wouldn't care, but the gearing can't easily be added. I also went back and forth on 2.7 - my 2.3 is certainly adequate but something inside still wants the 2.7.
