My replacement rear hardtop section arrived late last week, dealer swapping due to cracking on passenger window side. Arguing the front tops are showing honeycomb...waiting on those to be replaced

I'm starting to see this on mine, but so far I can only see it at certain angles... hoping it doesn't get any worse
If it’s like mine, it will get progressively worse. Noticed a bunch on driver side last week and now they are more defined and now the drinker side is forming a cluster of cracks. 👎🏼

Feeling luckier everyday. Our build squeezed in ahead of the new price increases and parts shortages. Still waiting on delivery… (2/12-2/18) Bronco is now 80 miles from its destination.

We would not compromise on our day 1 Wildtrak build. No soft top, and wasn’t about to remove the tow package. Happy for those loving their soft tops, but it wasn’t for us. The wait saw us selected for a GT Raptor.

Not sure how so many are surprised by the shortage, Ford announced there was a hardtop shortage. It’s one of the drivers behind the need for Wildtrak reservation in addition to tires, chips and other items holding up orders.

best of luck to all the week 1 reservation holders! I’ll take my chances with the defects after delivery. I want to get out and make memories with the family.

My local dealer got about 6 Broncos in last week and they were all hardtops so maybe they ran out of them.

When ours got scheduled (aug/sep '22) Every single other scheduled rig seemed to be a hardtop as well. It seems they just nuke the hardtops all at once and then rebuild inventory.

But hey wife and I are sitting on a gold mine with Wildtrak/MIC

I can't believe people are paying 6k+ for those things. I guess because the soft top is absolute dog water with its Saran Wrap windows.

I think you are right, a bunch of soft tops come in and then a whole bunch of hardtops. I'm with you on the soft top, I absolutely had to have a hardtop on mine.

Non negotiable, If they told me I couldn't have the hardtop I'd be in a Jeep right now.

We dropped the Mod Bumper to get ours quicker (not sure it mattered), that was the only thing we were willing to part with. Couple up the street from us regrets dropping the hardtop-stating they will probably never get one now with inventory issues.

If I'm waiting well over a year I'll be damned if I don't get what we want.

Cant wait to take mine in for the hairline cracking. 😒
Check the roof. I found a spiderweb looking one just this weekend. 4 months old, sits in a garage and only 3600 miles on it.

it looks like there is a new hard top shortage as many recent MY23 are being built and modules populate online, however on hold due to hard top shortage. My salesman also confirmed.
The dealer isn't your friend (well, not for most of us). Be careful about believing everything that they say.

Agreed and it's interesting that you mention Jeep in the equation. I have told many people that Jeep Wrangler soft tops are far superior to what Ford came out with, I don't understand why Ford can't improve theirs. Even the so called improved soft tops have wavy rear windows the day they are delivered!

Right, you are a massive conglomerate and can't fix a sewn piece of plastic on some canvas-sounds so simple..

If I'm them I would recruit a top designer from Jeep and pay them heftily.

94% of the remaining orders in the order banks currently are for Hard Tops. May the odds be ever in your favor.
Is that an accurate constraint number? Last I had seen was 85% ordered with a 67% capacity but this was from several weeks ago and before the last few rounds of scheduling.

I think Tim Bartz mentioned this figure on his YouTube livestream last night, regarding the number of outstanding orders that have MIC. I don't recall if he updated the actual constraint number on the hard tops.

I waited 930+ days for my Bronco with a hard top.
It does not squeak or have any cracks or other issues at all.

I am so so glad I waited for the hard top. I can not imagine daily life with the soft top.
give it a little time before it crumbles to pieces...probably will get denied or just outside warranty to boot.
