Don't forget the non sas also has 1/2 " more suspension travel because the sas has travel limiters to keep the 35s from hitting the fender wells. And you get the 4.70s with the manual.

Yeah, I wouldn't be thinking Sasquatch on any trim unless I was already going auto. If I were going with a stick, Badlands with the 33's would be my choice. It is $2500...what folks don't notice is the price for automatic transmission goes to $0 on Badlands when Sasquatch is added.![]()
I am absolutely loving the stock Sasquatch tires- they're phenomenal in the snow, good in the dirt/sand, ride nicely for a daily driver, look good, work well in the rain - what don't you like about them? You get crappier tires with the Sasquatch than non-Sasquatch.
It’s not “just a different gear”, it’s a different gearing ratio that accounts properly for the added rolling mass so you always know your speed, etc. The tuning of the transmission and transfer case alone would cost you over $500 in most cases, then as others point out, wheels and tires together would be maybe $2K.I mentioned just a different gear.
Don’t be pissed about losing the hardtop, I was also when I made the change. Just like I was pissed when I went from 2 to 4 doors. But I’m not after owning it. The soft beats the MIC, IMO.I was debating doing a nonsas BL and finally but the bullet. The BL on 33 is already quite a big vehicle and has 10 in or so ground clearance which is plenty for off roading. That and the MPG gains is free money. For 4k I do think it’s worth it from thought to get 35s since it’s also gearing and that’s expensive to do aftermarket.
I think “worth it” is relative on what you’re using it for. Either way I plan to use my Bronco as mostly an overlander that can handle off road trails where range is more important than rock crawling ability. I’m under the assumption that there’s plenty of hard/tough trails a BL nonsas can handle and I’ll have PLENTY of fun regardless.
Not having a hardtop sucks though. But constraints forces us to cancel by 2024 without price protection. And I’m tired of waiting.
What are those rims? I can't tell the brand from the picture. But I like!I already had rims and tires I was going to use from another rig so I skipped the SAS. Gratuitous photo attached.

Trust me, I noticed. It is $2500...what folks don't notice is the price for automatic transmission goes to $0 on Badlands when Sasquatch is added.![]()
I am quite surprised that you are the first person to ask this. It’s certainly never been debated on this forum before. Much appreciated. What are you really getting for $4k adding SAS to a Badlands?
BL has front/rear lockers, ADV 4x4, rims, tires, gears, shocks and springs. It’s not like you get them with SAS. You get a slightly different rim, tire size, slightly different shock/spring and a slightly different gear. What makes it $4k more?
