**UPDATE - I GOT IT!**

Don't know if anybody else has posted this so I apologize if this is a duplicate.

I ordered my Bronco back in February and like many of you I received the Ford Order Modification Private Offer email and decided how I wanted to proceed. To make a long story short I cancelled my Outer Banks order with Lux and Hardtop because I am just plain tired of the Ford merry-go-round like so many others.

But, after doing this I found a Wildtrak at another dealer and bought it thinking I would get the $2500 for buying a Bronco off the lot after cancelling my order.

BUT, the dealer tried to get me the $2500 and Ford says it doesn't apply because the Bronco I bought was special ordered even though it was on their lot for sale. Well, it wasn't special ordered for me and was offered online for sale so I have met the terms of the offer.

Oh, it gets better, if you modified your order before Jan 18th, they may not give you the offer. I was asked to modify my order on the 16th (along with another reservation holder, who was told he didn't qualify since he modified his order prior to the 18th). Seems like Ford is playing games again. #Stay Inflated... or Pumped... or whatever.

Same here - was told by my dealer that I could change from Base Sasquatch MIC to Badlands Soft Top.

Changed to Badlands and now being told that I don't qualify for the $2500.

Dealer was like "oh well, sorry!"

In your case, you do not qualify. You cannot change trims. Sounds like the dealer gave you bad info. Bend over I guess unless they own up to their mistake.

I understand that now, but if my dealer would have told me "Let me confirm before I advise you on your order," I would have waited and/or made a different decision.

The problem is that Ford was (*gasp in surprise*) not clear about that until several days later. The language changed after folks like you took early action. Not your dealer's fault on this one.

It is the dealer's fault. They were provided with the correct info but did not convey that properly to customers. Just look back at the original powerpoint. Clearly says what was allowed. I think a lot of times what happens is that the guy that does the ordering gets the info but the salesman does not convey it properly to the customer.

The original language didn't specify what could be done on Non-WT orders. They added that phrasing later. It could have been reasonably understood to have that limitation, in fact I mentioned that when it was suggested early on that everyone could hop trims. But it was in no way clear. Unless you can point me to something at the time of the public announcement, or prior, that says something different than this:

That clearly says modify to remove the constrained commodities under the Non-WIldtrak Customers.

If I've learned one thing from this over the past 3 years: Don't make any decisions immediately following any announcement. Wait it out until there is something official and a policy update. I feel bad for those that simply made changes and followed the initial image that was passed around. Ford needs to make this right and have the wording cover the day prior to all this becoming public knowledge. That's the right thing to do.

"Modify" includes a whole lot of latitude. Like I said, I read it the way you are, but there is too much space for interpretation to be effective communication. Which is why Ford added more explicit verbiage. They saw what was happening.

Doesn't say anything about trim which it does say for the Wildtrak.

Dingle87 is right, don't make any decision out of haste. The way people on here were calling it all wrong saying MIC, SAS, and Lux being done for the year, it's no wonder. My dealer gave us the info on the 13th, official info came out on the following Tuesday. Tim Bartz clarified everything the same night with info that was provided to all dealerships.
