not sure where you're seeing these sort of deals, but it honestly sounds like you already made your mind up and this post was pointless /shrug
Not pointless, informative. For those of you that are willing to pay these markup prices, more power to you. This is a good point to let folks know what's going on. I like a lot of the features on the Bronco, they are much better then the Jeep. For my, and I tend to believe most of the buyers of Broncos the Jeep would get them to the same places for a lot less money. Why would you pay $40K above MSRP for a Bronco?

To clarify before I start I think the bronco is an excellent vehicle and I have been looking for one for 2 years now but as of January 2023 Jeep is much cheaper.

Right off the bat the dealer markups put the bronco on par with the msrp of the equivalent wranglers but the jeep dealerships are already offering prices below list and additional discount incentives. One incentive I have seen was an offer of $12000 off the list price if you place a factory order through this dealer. I love the bronco but I dont think it is worth $12000 more than a Jeep. Even if i get a bronco at list price i could still save $7000 with a wrangler. Can anyone help me justify the pricing of a bronco over a wrangler?
not sure if anyone else has already said this bc this is too boring to read through all the ridiculous comments on this pointless thread. but i couldn't help but add to it bc its so stupid.

there's no fn way theyre giving you 12k off for ordering from them! complete horse shit. thats a blatant ploy to get you and any other naive people to order from them so they can build inventory. then when it comes in they say take it or leave it for whatever they want for it. win win for them to gain more status and allotments from jeep dude.

We were outnumbered 16-1 in the Jeep to Bronco department here. We've seen 1 other bronco on the trails so far.

When I was looking to replace my TJ in early 2020, a 2 door Rubicon hard top was approx. $50-54K. The Gladiator Rubicon was $57-60K. My 2 door Wildtrak, high package, tow, roof bars and mod bumper was $51555 plus T,T and T. Luckily, no dealer mark up and honored price protection...but that took some pushback from me and documents sharing FoMoCo would recommend honoring that.

Now, my build is $57205 on the Ford build and price and a pretty close 2 door Rubicon is $58245.00 per the Jeep build and price. Trying to compare just MSRP's to get an apple's to apple's view rather than lot stock, incentives and potential dealer mark ups.

You better have tough skin based on the comments, a lot of folks have HORROR STORIES and not much sympathy with your personal dilemma. To jump ship, change build or stay the course...that is the question for most current orders...especially Wildtrak orders.

Your sandbox = your toys. Best of luck.

EDIT = BTW, rented a Gladiator sport prior to reserving the Wildtrak. Prefer the ride quality in the Bronco and I have way more leg room and more comfortable in the 2 door Wildtrak. Speaking as a 6'2" individual and most folks would politely call me husky as I have ate my fair share of meat and potatoes.

Thank you for this honest perspective. I was so close to pulling the trigger on a 4xE last year when I was re-entering the Bronco order. I get where the OP is coming from, its been a long wait and the eye begins to wander. I love the Bronco and am glad I was able to stay true. A PHEV Bronco with Mod or sky active style top would be amazing.

Question for the OP, if you always wanted a Jeep, why didn't you buy one before now? this is not about making a rational purchase. Besides the JL is a bit long in the tooth now anyway. If you want to save money buy a JL when the refresh drops.

I have to agree with some of the folks here, I'm no sure where you're seeing those Jeep deals. I am a recent Bronco owner and yes I did pay above sticker price for mine but I do have to say it is worth every single penny. Jeeps might be a little more affordable, but at the end of the day, Broncos are on back order for about 2 years for a reason. Either way, Jeeps are nothing but capable cars but if you have your eye on a Bronco, you're gonna always have your eye on one even after you get a Jeep so don't pull the trigger yet and get stuck with a car you may be trying to convince yourself with because Broncos are a little hard to get. Either way, good luck! both cars are great

Granted I am much older then you and I bought my second Jeep right down the street from Fair Oaks Dodge.

My Bronco is the last nice car I may buy. Had a Rubicon and traded it for my wife's car (VW Atlas, great family vehicle. Not lying) The Bronco we call Booger is so fun. I have two babies in car seats and a third that sits in the middle. They love it with the stadium seats. It is big enough for trips, rides great and is an absolute BEAST. The only thing I would do different is not get Eruption Green because 99.345786874 of new Bronco's seem to be EG. SMH.

P.S. Don't EVER take your ride to a dealership to pick up a car for a test drive! I took the Atlas to our home for my wife to test drive and when I returned the offer sheet fit. Then I realized it was my Rubicon getting traded. I guess I lucked out because the Bronco was discovered after that. Don't take that chance please.

Sorry didn't mean to post a blank. To explain I am in my mid 20s this is a ton of money for a vehicle and my first big purchase I want to be sure it's worth it so I wanted to see if people who bought a bronco thought it was worth the price they paid.

Don't you think its partly because there are soooooo many Jeeps on dealers lots? how many Broncos are available compared to Jeeps .... Ford still cant even meet the demand for these things

The dealers web site you mentioned shows a discount of $6K on one Wrangler. The others are averaging $3K under sticker. Several of these have” custom up fits” that add $12K before they knock off the 3K. Just saying.

Thank you for pointing that out I hadn't dug to far into the weeds there yet still need to calm that dealer about the offer.
I'd be interested to see your comparison of which Jeep you are looking to buy and which Bronco it compares to. Look at the MSRP's side by side. Then you can decide, OK, if you can get the Jeep for $X under MSRP, what's the difference etc. Of course, the challenge with the Bronco is can you actually get one at any type of reasonable price. That might be tough to do for a while if you are not an early reservation holder (it's tough to do even for an early reservation holder). If you like Wranglers and can get one for a good price today, go for it. As you mentioned, you're young, so you can alway trade out for something later. Wranglers have historically held their value pretty well. So that's beneficial. It's just not a great road vehicle (handling, gas mileage, wind/road noise). But it's a great off-road vehicle.

The 4xe is pretty damn impressive. Silent off roading for 25mi then option to switch to gas. Kind of torn.
Its too early to buy a 4xe. if they can't get 100mi or more its not worth it on a charge. get the diesel jeep and you will do better on the mileage

Please let me know which Jeep dealer is giving 12k off on a factory order.
