Based on everything that has transpired, I believe my outcome will be one of the following:

1. I'm going to get a great deal on a nicely loaded Badlands or

2. I ain't gettin a Bronco in 2023.

My fate rests with the universe.
Yep. We all have to make decisions for ourselves based on the info presented at the time. Good luck to you. I hope you get your ride.

Is this 2500 in addition to existing price protections?

I have Lux on a Badlands 2DR, should just be able to drop that and qualify, right?

Thanks.

I already put a heated wheel in a truck that didn't come with one once, not afraid to do it again and that was the only thing I cared about in Lux. So it seems I'm going to do it again.

Sorry for the delay on coming out with news on this, but I wanted to make sure I didn't speak out of turn.

Ford with their recent changes are trying to fulfill the outstanding reservations and orders they have in the system. They are going to allow dealers to "pull ahead" allocation to fulfill demand of their customers. They are also incentivizing customers to switch from high demand items that they have a production capacity shortfall, to orders that they are able to build.

Restrictions - There is a higher demand for MIC hard top, Lux Package and Sasquatch. These shortfalls will cause orders to be delayed and they do not have enough commodities to fulfill demand. If your order has one or more of these restrictions, that doesn't guarantee that your order won't get scheduled during this timeframe, rather it reduces the odds of it getting scheduled. You will also not qualify for the $2500 incentive. So Ford is still producing Sasquatch, Lux and Hard tops. They just don't have enough production to fill the retail demand.

$2500 Incentive - To qualify for this incentive you need to have one of the existing restrictions that have more demand that commodity available for 2023 (Hard top, Lux Package, & Sasquatch). You have to switch out of ALL restrictions, not just one, to qualify for the incentive. I initially was under the impression you had to switch from a 2 door to a 4 door, but that is not the case.

For Example: You have a 2 door wildtrak Lux order. If you take off the Lux package you do NOT qualify for the $2500 incentive.
You have a 2 Door Wiltrak order and you switch to a Badlands 2 door High package without Sasquatch you DO qualify for the incentive.

How does this effect Granger Ford customers? Dealer allocation should not be a restriction in this upcoming scheduling cycle. Ford is looking to only fill RETAIL demand and not dealer stock. So this should go a long ways to fill order for those who have been waiting a long time for their order. They are taking a month to do their best to clear out the existing orders. We have approximately 475 retail orders that qualify and have been submitted through Ford's COVP process. All of these could potentially get scheduled if they don't have a restriction on them.

What If I want to risk it and don't remove a commodity? You can still get scheduled! But this reduces your odds and by how much, I do not know. But if you choose to take that risk you won't get price protection for the 2024 model year. So You'll need to weigh your priorities and see how you want to move forward.

Zach
So what about if we cancel an order that has a hardtop? I took delivery of a dealer stock bronco a couple weeks ago. I still have my order but would be willing to cancel my order and put that 2500 towards an aftermarket top.

FYI, when I called Ford customer service today they had absolutely no idea about any of this. 🙄

To the best knowledge it’s only for use on a vehicle and not accessories or parts.

@Zach@Granger not sure it’s been asked. In the past if someone changed trims they lost price protection. Did Ford explicitly say this is no longer the case for switches that are not “Wildtrak to badlands/outer banks/big bend”? Seems other trim swaps might risk voiding PP.
It's been in Ford's FAQ since September of last year. You can change to anything you want, except Raptor or Heritage Limited. Your SmartVincent Private offer certificate is based on whatever trim you had on order on 9 September.

Seems like this is a CRITICAL piece of info.. Anyone who will likely roll over into 2024 (actually reorder) might not get a 2024+ Bronco for many years if the allocation is pulled from future years. Lets just say a "normal" Grainger allocation is 100 Broncos a year, 300 switch drop the 3 constraints and get built. Grainger won't have Broncos for 2 years?
I think you are overlooking one crucial detail. Customers weren't going to get Broncos for years anyway.

If Granger has about 475 orders, and if Ford was only going to give them a "normal" allocation of 100 Broncos a year (the number in your example):
100 people would get Broncos in 2023,
100 in 2024,
100 in 2025,
100 in 2026, and
75 in 2027.

How really different is that than if:
300 people get Broncos in 2023,
100 in 2026, and
75 in 2027?

Except, wouldn't 200 more people will have gotten Broncos in 2023 without waiting until 2024 or 2025? 🤷‍♀️
