Got confirmation that the $2500 for canceling and buying another Ford will not apply for a Bronco Raptor.

Now my thinking is to see if I can downgrade my WT and use the $2500 along with my existing $2595 MY23 Transition Private Offer to get $5095 off my Badlands built this month.

Heard that the constraints are on the tires and rims also not just MIC and LUX. For non SAS My dealer told me to drop the 17' Black High Gloss and mud terrain as those are no longer available features. Tow capability was an issue also had to remove that as well. Its pretty nuts, I know FORD has most of the responsibility here but the dealers are probably the gasoline to the fire. For most of them dealing with a Bronco order is a waste of their time. On to cars that can actually be made and sold.

More on this...

For those who are unaware, Bronco Nation is owned by Jackson Dawson Communications... which is a marketing firm that Ford has partnered with for the Bronco. Jackson Dawson Communications is also the same company that owns Adventure ORX, LLC... the folks behind the Bronco Off-Roadeo.

Early on, the Jackson Dawson lawyers were on a hair trigger, and would send C/D notices to just about everyone. They've since been talked to by the folks running Bronco Nation, who effectively said this isn't a good way to foster community involvement, so they have calmed down significantly.

HOWEVER, it's still smart and proper online etiquette to cite your sources regardless of the source. If I post something on the Bronco Nation forums from Bronco6G I ensure to cite my original source (and vice versa).

---

Because Bronco Nation has direct affiliation with Ford, you can trust the news they post on the front page... they typically get their info directly from the Bronco Brand Manager (previously Esteban Plaza-Jennings, now Matt Winter).

Their forums are just about as trustworthy as the Bronco6G forums... although people are admittedly calmer and a little more level-headed over there than they are here. ;)
But the forums have sucked since the reboot. Navigation is about one of the worst of any forum I have ever been on. Click a topic and you go to the end of the thread so have to scroll back. Totally a cluster and has not been fixed after months. Much, much better here.

I’m starting to believe this is correct…. And after reading most of this thread I have to finally chime in.

After the long wait, ups a downs, etc. I have a vin and window sticker. My two door, Lux, manual Badlands is being built now. And my dealer already has it listed on their website for sale! It does say in transit.

Anyway, called Ford marketing a few minutes ago to confirm the price protection for this vehicle and to understand how it works. I ordered 2/21 just before the initial reservation cutoff. So according to the Ford website I should get $3,425 off the MSRP, right? Guess what I was told…

The woman I talked to explained to me first that MSRP is exactly that. And that the dealer can, of course, sell the car to me for any price they like. That wasn’t shocking or surprising, although disgusting. Then she told me that the price protection was also just a suggestion from Ford to the dealer and that the amount could be up to $3,425. And that the dealer didn’t have to honor it all! I asked her if she could give me the accurate price protection amount. She said it was up to the dealer!

I am absolutely flabbergasted. It’s strange to want a vehicle from a company that I now detest. This would be my first Ford. I mean I have sort of golden ticket at this point, because my Bronco is in production. But still, after two years of this and not knowing what to expect going into the dealer, damn, I don’t know. This is no way to do business. I guess if my dealer does the right thing I’ll take it and be happy rolling around in my cool Bronco all the while telling everyone how bad Ford is. I won’t pay some ridiculous ADM and I expect the price protection as it was promised. Again, what a horrible experience.

I sent an email to my dealer (one of many) to confirm the MSRP sale along with the price protection. They agreed to it in our back and forth emails a while ago. They refused, when asked, to put anything in writing beyond what was agreed to via email. So, we shall see.

I guess you’re right, the reservation system was all pure marketing hype with no real value whatsoever. Maybe having the reservation actually made it harder to get a Bronco. IDK…. I’d love to hear from anyone who knows more about how the price protection actually works and if it has any teeth at all.

Sorry for the rant and for all those losing out trying to spend 50k+ for a Bronco. Maybe, hate to say it, and I hope I’m wrong, the reservation and price protection isn’t worth much at all. Just unreal.
You already know th' answers. No, price protection is a dealer decision, not an obligation. Yes, reservation gets you a Bronco at the current MSRP (which is still a great deal). You may cancel, and the dealer sells with an ADM. Reservation has little leverage beyond getting to order what you want. Until now. Order what they will build. I'll wait

How does one find out which Bronco trims of options Ford is building for that particular week or the following?

Ford is scheduling Heritage and Base Series this week. Manuals as well.

Contact your dealer. Ford will send out communications as well. His information is correct. The number of USO may be inflated?? but the information, that this whole thread is about is correct.

Well, I thought I knew the answer. According to Ford marketing, there is no guarantee whatsoever that the vehicle will be sold to me at MSRP or for the price protection regarding my early reservation. So what’s the point?

Sorry to say, but having a reservation never guaranteed to get you MSRP. It never guaranteed you would get a Bronco, the only guarantee was you got to get in a line and if you were one of us here for a while, you got a bit of swag. Even that wasn’t a guarantee as many didn’t even get that.

The no guarantee on price protection sounds a little odd to me. If that's the case then why do they have a chart to figure out the amount and a certificate number for your dealer to redeem it?

Those are my thoughts exactly…. And that’s why I called Ford to find out about the MSRP and PP for my long-standing reservation. And the answer given was there is no guarantee of anything! So, yeah it’s just marketing hype and fluff I guess. For all those looking at the new “agreement” going forward with an old reservation to get a $2500 price protection, rebate, coupon, private offer, or whatever they call it, you might also want to call Ford and your dealer to see how real or not real these terms are. I mean I was told today that the neither the MSRP nor the original PP can be guaranteed. So why would anything else be? Or, I suppose, it’s all up to your dealer as these are merely suggestions from Ford. So I guess you gotta know and trust your dealer. My dealer refused to put anything in writing. I do at least have emails for what they agreed to. Anyway, this is a ridiculous and horrible way to do business.

Prolly you'll get MSRP. Maybe you'll get pp. MHO Let the dealer sell it, if this is pointless.

Another thought is: if there is no MSRP guarantee on reservations, then how would PP matter anyway? It’s meaningless unless you know what the price will be before the PP, coupons, discounts, etc.

I agree. It would be very hard for me to walk away. But I just might. Hope not.

They can't seem to get the PP right and now there will be another $2500? Ok. :ROFLMAO:

I dont understand how pp could be up to the dealer. Other than maybe not wanting to deal with looking up what pp you're entitled to...it has zero impact on them. From what I've read it's a rebate from Ford to the customer and doesn't necessarily lower the price when you buy the truck. I guess they can apply it at deal time ..but others have been issued a check after buying the bronco. Zero impact to the dealer. MSRP I get...they are not obligated there. My order is at MSRP and it's printed out and signed. Sounds like both pp and the rebate mentioned in thus thread are amounts Ford would send a customer after the sale??
