So I am a bit confused ... Did I miss another post about Price Protection going away or something? So basically if you don't modify your order or get your order in 2023, you are forfeiting all rights of getting price protection? Where's the source on that?

DO all units with the Rag Top still deliver with an option for a hard top install at some point they can get the supply issue figured out?

It appears that Ford may be allowing dealers with insufficient allocation to schedule all their orders but take a hit on any future orders if they do so. I'm sure Granger will be getting in touch with people (watch the thread here) to find out who wants to move forward with the new constraints.
This comment is going to be unpopular and might get me in trouble.

But if what you wrote is true it tells you the real culprit here is the dealers who booked a gazillion orders with no allocation, not FoMoCo.

Can you imagine being a dealer and being told the manufacturer will bail you out but in exchange you’re getting no allocation, potentially for years? That’s death for a dealer.

This is why many manufacturers (not Ford) have contractual restrictions preventing dealers from selling outside of territory.

If this backlog clear/allocation restriction is true, anyone with orders from a heavily over-ordered dealer needs to be on high alert right now.

Has Ford ever announced what the current order backlog actually looks like? It would be nice if they could say "we have xxxxx orders and we can only build yyyyy trucks by the end of the MY". Just a raw number like that, regardless of constraints would be nice to know. I get the feeling there is no way they are going to open the order banks for MY 2023 at this point.

If you have a build date, you have a VIN. You can get it from your selling dealer or the 1-800-334-4375 Bronco customer support number.
thanks, chatted with them and got my vin. updated the spreadsheet as well.

Problem is it’s not that simple with so many trims and options.

If Ford said “we can build 1,000 vehicles and there are 1,000 orders” that would seem to be perfect.

But if those 1,000 orders were all for the same thing (like a Braptor) and of the 1,000 they can build Ford only has the parts for 100 Braptors, the headline isn’t as good as it seems.

My 2D WT is on the assembly line right now. So, assuming I’m marked safe from this fuckery, it appears I might end up with a unicorn on my hands.

Devil on my shoulder is whispering in my ear “Soon as you get it, flip it for a $10K profit” :devilish::devilish:

Tough call. I really want this thing and I’ve waited a really long time to get it…but………
Bro the Wildtrak is like pure ecstasy no way in hell your gonna sell - trust when you get the hoss 3.0 your gonna shed a tear that you finally might get out of getting hosed by ford for at least a few thousand miles.

even my dog loves how much space he has, first thousand miles has been going back and forth to Canada with the fam.

Will the $2500 apply on top of the price protection ? Some have a 2020 day one order when a bare bone base 2D stick was 29k.

I couldn't imagine dropping from a Wildtrak to a Badlands with no sasquatch, and thinking $2500 was enough to make it right. It's gonna cost way more than $2500 to get you back to that. Hard top for soft top, argue all day about that, lux vs high, argue the merits of one over the other all day...but that Sasquatch, that would be a non starter to me. If it isn't sasquatched I'm not interested.

This has been discussed many times before and basically Ford knew that some dealers, like Granger, Stephans, and Chapman were offering below invoice deals and these dealers were initially given the go ahead. Ford changed the rules after the big box dealers that weren’t going to offer any deal at or below MSRP cried foul and, in response, Ford begin providing low monthly allocations to the below invoice dealers leaving those wanting a better deal wait forever or pony up extra $$ with another dealer. In addition, Ford left the order banks open until early last year which pushed certain reservation holders further down the list. Now Ford wants to end the nightmare they created by forcing order holders, especially those with below invoice deals, to take less in order to get a build. All the while Ford has communicated poorly at best with reservation and order holders. Ford created the problem, the pandemic and supply chain fiasco worsened it, and now, Bob‘s your uncle.

Just posted on Bronco Nation's forums by DDM4. The constrained items that must ALL be removed are MIC Top, Lux Package and Sasquatch Package (in order for non-Wildtrak customers to receive $2500 and risk not being produced in 2023MY).
Fixed that for you.

TL:DR on all 22 pages. Want to point this out if it was not between page 3 and 20.

Ford Bronco 💰 Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints) 1673886766219

If you are a Wildtrak customer, all 4 options apply. If you are not a Wildtrak customer, only Option 1 or 2 apply. Option 3 is NOT listed for Non-Wildtrak customers.

The funny part, Wildtrak is Sasquatched. How do you remove Sasquatch from a Wildtrak?

And now I know "Walk Away" means buy a Jeep or Toyota. Whodathunk?

Just check build and price. Two door soft top has never been an option.
True.
However, that route to me would be considered an unreliable source, since the hardtop 4 door is still an option there and you obviously cannot get that now.
