Side mirrors turn indicators is it a Lux package item?

Maybe some of the forscan gurus could figure this out for us and see if this is something that could be enabled? I am sure it would not have the orange color but we could always use orange overlay for the color.

Would lose the spot function but one could swap the wire from its present location to the park/turn location. Hmmm. Now where to find amber overlay. They may be too bright though.

BD only goes to mid package

No biggy, the shop isn't far out of the way going home

So it uses the same pin for all of them, JU5T-14474-AAA,

I tried a EU2Z-14421-AA, and that was a no go... the JU5T-14474-AAA seems to have a much more rectangular profile where it seats into the connector, And doesn't lock on the bottom like the other.

The side spots are on a different pin in the connector altogether, but both can be enabled in forscan.

I was wiring the turn signal to my ditch lights, that have an amber element;

They work fine, but you have to set the bulb type to non-led or they blink fast, but at the normal rate. I didn't want to hack into the harness, so I've left them disconnected for now until I can (hopefully) find the right pins, I also have rock lights I want to wire into the connector and use the puddle light switches.

I do have the signature lighting, (All Badlands do), I think it has more to do with the shape of the pulse though... With it set to LED or not, the pulse RATE is the same. But on LED the Pulse WIDTH is very narrow, so the "on' was just a blip. With it set to non led, the pulse is the same as the regular turn signals.

I'm guessing the persistance of the stock mirror LED is longer, taking more time to fade out...

Why didn’t you keep the light’s connected? Just because you didn’t have the pins to complete?

Correct, I literally had the whole connector undone, and an incorrect pin shoved into terminal 10 of the body side, I couldn't reconnect the harness without removing the pin.

I'd give up the spot function for the turn signals any day.... I don't have much of a need for them anyway.

I’ll dig in this week and see about moving the wire from the wire for the spot to the turn signal lead. Break out the forscan and see what happens.

Ok this is where I got. Pin 10 is correct in the connector and with the mirror turn signal enabled or disabled it sends power to that pin when the turn signal or emergency flashers are on. I could not however get constant power for running lights. But I still take it as a win to just get turn signals in the mirror. Not for just turn signal they are bright but so are the front turn indicators (at least on the signature lighting). I’m going to message @StickerFab and see if they have any interest in making an overlay. Then message oracle and see if they would have an interest in making a replacement that could keep the spot lights and incorporate a couple Amber leds for the then signals. I added a pin and short wire to test for power first. Then hooked that to the spot light for testing.

man that is awesome work! Hopefully the aftermarket guys are interested in getting an aftermarket led bulb with amber. This is one of those things that just seems like it should be factory. My 11 year old VW gti has turn signals on the mirrors, a truck like this, especially with high or lux package should have this. Considering the wiring and lights are already there, seems like Ford just ignored something that would have been so simple.

I know it’s grown to a long thread. They won’t. This evolved into members sharing plug pin outs and testing to see if it is possible.

I'm in the shop tonight planning to experiment as well...

First thing I notice, Is the 1400 connector diagram I have is different than the one @Ducati1098 has... I believe mine was actually lifted from the Puddle light thread, but it actually specifically calls out "Turn Signal" rather than parking light....

I also had a further thought about the LED/Regular Bulb call out in the PDM/DDM... I'll bet they are reversed from what forscan is saying, and that's why the "LED" has such a short pulse width, an incandescent has a lot of persistance, so needs the short pulse, while an led needs one that is "on" for the entire blink...

The current PDM/DDM is probably showing F-150 settings, which I'll bet are the reverse of a Bronco...

So tonight's experiment is hooking up turn signals, spots, and puddles, to see how they behave...
