Last Friday the automated CSX trace tracking said my OBX was in Wayne, Michigan. Today it's saying no status available. What the heck....
Mine was in Willard, OH today. Supposed to be at Chicago Clearing by the 6th.

If anyone is on BNSF301747 I just checked with CSX and it's due to Chicago on 1/6.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes from Chicago to Portland. The good news is there are fewer stops compared to other routes. Only because there's a whole lotta nothing (no offense) between here and there. Just broken down wagon trains.

How did you get the BNSF number?

Not sure what you mean. Just ask them if they know the railcar number.
So my previous railcar number was TTGX980266. I've never seen a railcar number that starts with BNSF. So I guess I'm just curious where you may have recieved that number or if it's still the same.

BNSF handles the traffic west of the Mississippi. I don't know all of the details around how rail car naming works.

Yeah, that I know. I guess I've just never seen a rail car labeled with BNSF. They usually start with TTGX or UP. Ford Chat gave that number?

No, I got it from another undisclosed source.

Don’t know yet. I think the train just left for Chicago today.
Pretty much all of the broncos start on CSX and then switch to their designated rail company once they hit Chicago. Sucks that BNSF doesn't have a more less private tracking system like the other companies do. You may still be able to track the railcar number through the CSX phone system.

From what I can tell from the Tracking thread it seems they have the same sort of phone tracking as CSX. My assumption is that once the train leaves Chicago it will be in the BNSF system but they may not actually swap until the next major swap. In a week or two it won’t matter! (Yes, that might be optimistic but it’s all I got right now).
