2022 Ford Bronco headlight coming on when Bronco is off

I have a 2022 Ford Bronco "BASE" . I have been having head light problems.When the Bronco is off ,the head lights come on for about 10 minutes and then turn off.This happens ALOT. Then when I open the door the light chimes saying the lights are on but the switch is off with NO led lights on the switch .So i have to turn it to auto and then everything is ok till the next day..I took it to ford and they replaced the light switch and it DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM..It took a month to get that headlight switch in..I don't know what to do next,anyone else have this problem?

It is a feature. The idea is to meet new and interesting people.

Now I get to talk to all sorts of building security officers, managers at restaurants and grocery stores, and neighbors who want me to know my lights are on. The security guard at my office has a few people a week tell him my light are on. He knows to tell them Ford is aware of the problem and they are working on a solution!

I took it to ford and they replaced the light switch and it DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.

Do you have the paperwork? What is the part number of the new switch?

When i search that part number it says

But i don't have blind spot warning, so who really knows

Same EXACT situation here. Ford parts/service acted as if I’m the only one with this issue… said they’ve heard nothing of the sort before.

SSM 50842 - 2021-2022 Bronco - Headlamps Turn On


By Themselves When Vehicle Is Off - DTC B1533


Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition of intermittent headlamp operation while the vehicle is OFF and have diagnostic trouble code (DTC)


B1533stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to the internal logic within the headlamp switch. Switch and/or module replacement will not resolve this condition. Headlamp operation is not affected while the vehicle is ON. A new headlamp switch is currently under development to correct this condition. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment in October 2022, when parts are expected to become available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS is updated with the repair information.

According to your warranty history, you had the switch replaced on 10/29. The SSM for this repair did not come out until 2 days later on 10/31.

So the dealership used the most current switch at the time, however it is not the most current switch available now that should repair the issue.

It says they installed M2DZ-11654-GB
The newest switch is now M2DZ-11654-GC
