I'm getting ready to replace my B&O system in my badlands and am trying to figure out what to do with the center channel speaker. I know the factory center is a midrange only, with no tweeter and have read a few comments on here regarding replacement coaxial speakers being too "bright" or harsh when used as a center. there are way more coaxial options than midrange only at 4", so I'm just looking for first hand experiences to help me (and any one else in this scenario) decide. If you have upgraded your B&O system, did you use a coaxial or not? And if so, do you like the sound or does it sound too harsh with a coaxial in this location?

I put a Focal ACX 100 in the center, along with the sides and the backs. I’m very happy with how it turned out. No issues at all with them being too bright or harsh.

So all you did was install 5 Focal ACX 100's in total? Does everything work just fine after installing them or is there anything else we would need to do if we did the same thing?

Yep. I didn’t install anything else at all and it was a noticeable difference from stock in my opinion.

Great, thank you. I'm assuming you needed to get the speaker harnesses too though, correct? I'm most likely going to replace some speakers as well but I'm not too familiar with audio systems so this is all very helpful.
