Someone surely knows what this is- under drivers seat, 2 door big bend.
Don’t usually move drivers seat but when I did this was laid out into rear footwell. Has 2 clips zip tied on that snap to seat reinforcing wires (as are under these seats). Yellow tag says ‘needs rework’, no kidding. I thought someone might ask- nope no sign of similar on passenger seat. It exits close to center console and definitely goes into seat back- and stops at whatever it’s connected to. Could it be a unintentional seat heater pad? Hoping it’s no supposed to connect the airbag.

Aside from this weirdness, have had Bronco since March and it’s been great. Handled 2 feet of recent snow amazing- hardtop squeaks not withstanding.

My assumption would be it’s for the heated seats. 2 door has manual seats so there’s not much else for electronics in the seat back. Rest assured it’s not for the airbag though, that would be a yellow plug and you’d have an airbag light on the dash if it were disconnected.
Does your Bronco have the mid package?

Think someone said they were pre wired for ambient lighting too? Remember he just had to buy bulbs and plug them in under the seat. Not sure if that was the wire being talked about

I doubt that its ambient lighting only because i have a LUX badlands and the only ambient lighting we have is under the dash.

Thanks for replies- there does seem to be a ton of wiring under the seat, a bit different from my ‘04 ram. The pressure sensor on passenger seat (for airbag) is really interesting. Bronco does not have mid package, only options elected were aux switches, rear locker and trailer tow on manual big bend: ‘Old Man spec.’ Edit: wire is in a flat, smooth wrap- feels very similar to heat shrink.

@Ground_zero298 may be on to something. Those serial numbers on the harness are pretty darn close to what OP has.
It could also be a cabin pressure sensor. Mine never works and my ears always pop when I got up and down big hills.
I'll look on my Big Bend in a bit and see if I see something matching.

Gonna change my guess to heated seat? I got that plug and it’s hooked up.

Looked around for seat diagram and found these. Two ‘bumps’ on cable attached to pad sure look like they could be same. (#3 on the full diagram). Wouldn’t mind some unicorn bronco seat heat…

Not the correct wire colors for the heated seat elements.

edit: @Bearinthewoods; Nevermind, I was looking at the wrong diagram. I think It is for the backrest heated seat element.

Maybe in order to push out more orders Ford just used the harness for the heated seats regardless if the vehicle was heated seat capable. Or maybe it is truly an assembly line error. Anyway, If the seat doesn’t have the heater element the connector is useless. Of course, that is if the wire harness is for heated seats.

Yep, I’m pretty sure this is correct. They use the same body harness, just don’t include the heating element in the seat to plug into it.
