I have a 2022 Wildtrak i took delivery on 11/11/22. I noticed my Odometer racking up miles rather quickly.
I verified the speedometer against a speedometer app form the Apple Store and a Delorme 3D
Professional mapping system. the Speedometer on the Vehicle is reading 2mph higher than both
refence devices consistently and linear at any speed. The Vehicle is factory stock with no modifications.
Tires 315/70 R17.
I have taken the vehicle to the dealer, and they have received a response form the Factory which essentially
states there is an error 3% below to 7% above which equates to 58-64 mph.
I have informed them that I verified these test devices against my 3 ford Trucks and my wife's Jeep all
in all cases they read on the money. I suggest that either there is an issue on their wheel sensors
or they are doing their math wrong in the mph calculation.

Either way a 3-7% error in today's technology is very poor.
I have since talked with Tech Factory Tech department (800-826-4694) and they have said there is a
recently released "ABS Module Update" and they will contact my Dealership. Stay tuned for more Info.

I would suggest owners verify the Speedometer on your Bronco's as well. 2mph+ is against me whereas
2mph- I would not complain.

No bronco yet but on my jeep I used an app to blue tooth to a OBD to set parameters to adjust the speedometer when I went to 35's. Maybe forscan has that capability. Curious do you mean 2 mph at any speed or at some specific speed like 70?

That's normal for every car.
The manufacturer cannot have the speedometer read slower than you're actually going (i.e, displaying 60 when you're really doing 62) so they bump it down a percent or two to be safe and account for tire wear. Your old cars that are 'right on the money', are they new and still on fully-treaded tires and proper inflation, or are they a little worn and closer to the buffer zone.

Old police cars had properly calibrated speedometers that would actually have "CALIBRATED" right on the speedo.

Just wait till you find out about tire wear 😂

Get yourself Forscan & Cable and you can adjust it every few months to keep it within the acceptable percent for todays technology 😂

3-7% sounds about right in my case. I moved from the 33s up to 35s and I'm clocking only 1mph faster than the speedo shows.

Every BMW and Ford I have owned was 2 mph off. Have a glass of wine and a beer and don't worry about it.

Mine and the others I know are off as well. Use Forscan and correct it if you are like me and are a bit OCD about indicated speed. At least being a couple fast helps keep you from a speeding ticket (and helps your fuel mileage as well). Lots of my vehicles have had speedometers off. I have just corrected them with HP tuners if supported.

My Basesquatch is 2 MPH off also compared to GPS. Friend of mine has a Wildtrak and same thing for him. Going to adjust it when I have the Ford dealer install the Ford Performance 2.3 tune.

Most vehicles with stock tires I have checked have been on the money ford and gm. On all the jeeps I had typically I check the before and after tire upsize. This I found was not normal and your odometer of course will rack up mikes quickly. Not good for warranties

I have Forscan I use on my ford trucks to
turn of the “nanny mode alarms” however
I have heard that they have not cracked the code yet on the new Broncos.

I have installed a 1.250 leveling kit and
Ordered some 37X12.5 M/T’s so that will drop the mph back down close to what it should be. Also adding a pedal commander
Thanks for the response and input

Forscan works well on Bronco:

Also, if you have auto trans, the ford performance tune will improve the transmission response as well as throttle response.

I was also 2mph slower at 65 mph. For those that want to do the Forscan speedometer calibration with factory Sasquatch tires the setting that worked best for me is ~2501 mm. Do not forget to do the recalibrations after writing. Happy trails!

My base Sas is off 2 mph high as well and I've already upgraded to true 35x12.5x17 which are almost 1" taller than the factory 315/70/17 (which measure out under 34"). My old Tacoma had 33" tires and it was off 3-4 mph so the factory size tires would have been off 5-6 mph. I've never had a truck that was accurate. Even with my old 2010 Silverado with 33's, I kept changing the tire size with the Diablosport and could not get it to match any speed traps I go by.
