Ford or the Dealer? Some dealers are handling the price protection for ford where you receive a rebate check in the mail after the purchase.
The dealer contacted Ford and they were told by Ford that I would not be getting a personal offer/price protection certificate/rebate check. I called Ford as well and was told the same thing. Apparently nobody can fix it or tell me why I don't qualify. To be clear this is only the MY21 to MY22 price protection, the dealer is handling the mid-year MY22 increase.

Humm... Is the $975 on the base cost of the vehicle, or does it come from some accessory price increase? I know you're not walking away on a $975 increase but thats a bummer.

Base cost, I will essentially be paying MY22 (pre-mid year increase) pricing even though I should be price protected to MY21 pricing. It's just the standard price protection from the flow chart nothing related to accessories. I actually am considering walking. After 2.5 years Ford isn't going to keep their commitment and with every agent I've talked to not really caring or being willing to explain why I don't qualify, it may put me over the edge on this deal.

Sorry to hear that.

I'm an early 2022 order, my dealer got me the listed price protection of $2,000 on my order and is also covering the $100 difference in vehicle delivery cost from when I ordered.

Yeah my dealer is doing all that too, they're great. But Ford is supposed to issue a personal offer price protection certificate to make up for the difference between MY21 and MY22. I qualify because I had a day 1 reservation, but instead Ford is telling me to kick rocks and pay an extra $975.

I get your frustration but I also wouldn't give up a vehicle I've been waiting on for 2.5 years over 1K. Hell if nothing else buy it and flip it to make the 1K back.

What a crappy way to finish off this journey. You deserve an answer.

@A51Bronco I hear you, but it's not the dollar amount, it's the principal. The one thing that made waiting 2.5 years sufferable was that at the very least I would only pay MY21 pricing.

@Ohnoohnoooo I agree, I've been really patient with the Ford agents and calmly just asked someone to explain why I don't qualify. One even started reading the terms and conditions of the price protection program but stopped when she realized I clearly qualified and just said "I don't know, you'll have to do your own research"

Arrived at my dealer 11/9. Then onto a private truck across county to Southern California. In my hands now and was able to detail the beast. Heading up the coast for a drive this weekend. Looking forward to when my 1k breakin period is over so I can hit some trails.

Ford is telling me that I will not be offered the MY21 to MY22 price protection certificate ($975 for Badlands 2 Door). 7/14/20 reservation, ordered 8/10/21, reordered 10/13/21, never changed a single thing on my build.
Possible reason- if you didn’t convert your reservation until August 10th of 2021, there was likely zero chance of getting a 2021 model as 2021’s were likely scheduled out at that point. (probably could back into scheduling timing via old threads)

That's probably all correct but the price protection is based first and foremost on the reservation date. The order date only comes into play to determine which trim your price protection would be based on if you changed your trim. I never changed my trim or anything else for that matter so my 7/14/20 reservation date is the only date that matters.
