4-Door Too Small?

Isn't Jeep going to announce a new larger SUV? Grand Wagoner or something? Maybe that would work.

They are indeed. Supposedly the vehicle debuts tomorrow, maybe? Anyway, as I understand it, it is their luxury family SUV, not a real off road machine. But I could be wrong. I'll have to look into it when it hits the market months before we ever see the Build and Price for the Bronco.

Going from a super crew f150 to a bronco I have some of the same concerns about interior room. Also with some of the leaked package pricing from the surveys Im also concerned that the bronco the way I want it would be the same or close to a new f150. If it ends up in the mid 50k range why would not just go with another f150.

And there is another forum member, sorry I can't remember his username, but he just bought one of the brand new f150s and it was pretty loaded for around $60k. Granted, I'd then have to make it off road ready.

No worries. It would be cool if it did, but it is like a baby Bronco.

2 Door is the perfect size

Not remotely for me. Which is a bummer because I LOVE the looks of the 2-door. It is peak Bronco. It's just one seat and a lot of space too short for my family.

I think a 4D is only good for a couple, two small children and maybe a small dog. I have had a handful of 4Runners and I anticipate the Bronco being smaller; especially in the cargo area. Good luck.

Option 5) Buy a roof rack and a normal tent - scratch the RTT, it's not like all 5 of you and a dog would be able to fit in a RTT anyways. Worst case if you need even more storage get a hitch cargo carrier.

I am having the same dilemma. For the price, we may switch to an Exprdition (used) or a pickup. Still deciding. We got rid of the 4 door wrangler for that very reason.

Exactly. And I've got several years before my girls are out of the house. So the space issue isn't going to get better. It just sucks because big vehicles don't exactly equate to prowess off road. I know for certain I need more space and I know without a doubt I need a beefy rig that is made for the trail.

You can get a simple 4x6 utility trailer for much less and add a rack. Or an M416 military style trailer. For sure, some of the off-road campers are way up there.

No offense to anyone that likes them but to me they are ridiculous. Heavy, expensive, space consuming, increased roll over hazard and once you get to camp and set it up it is a total pain to run back to civilization to grab anything or go exploring.

We could trim down what we take as well, but now I'm getting older, I kind of like bringing extra amenities to make life more comfortable on the trail, to a point anyway. I've never owned a RTT, but they seem very convenient for camping in hard to access areas of the back country. Modern off road trailers can get you there but they are ????. 100% agree about the pain of having to pack up camp to drive anywhere though.

I wish I hadn't sold my Jumping Jack Trailer. It hauled my ATV with ease and was a great tent setup. I needed to downsize toys and it went bye bye. Now wish I kept it instead of other toys. Maybe I'll buy another one...
