Hi everyone. Just noticed another issue today to go along with my transmission woes. Noticed the dreaded honeycomb on my hardtop today. Bronco was delivered 7/1/22. I have not waxed or coated the hardtop yet since owning so this isn’t a compatibility issue with products. I thought Ford corrected this problem and that’s why we all had to wait longer?? It’s not as prominent as other pictures I have seen from others, but it’s definitely there. Makes me wonder if it will continue to get worse. Has anyone else received a Bronco within the last few months that is showing hardtop issues? Is Ford still honoring replacement for this issue? I guess I’m asking for advice on whether or not I should bring this up to my dealer or not while it’s in for transmission work. Definitely doesn’t seem normal of right to me!

Most tops I've seen display a small amount of honeycomb in the right light. I think at this point it just is what it is, as much as that answer sucks. I'm not worrying about the honeycomb on mine. I'm more concerned with long term stability and cracking. Definitely not a quality product.

I do think the lighting really brought it out. The sun was just beginning to shine across it in my garage. Can’t see it when light is directly above from the garage lights. Still a bummer though. Definitely doesn’t instill a sense of longevity and quality

Normal. Sucks but normal. I’ve looked closely at a ton of hardtops and they all have it. Some worse than others.

Yep, mine has the same “design feature” and it really started showing more after I applied ceramic coating to my paint and hardtop. I’m not concerned, really don’t care and probably wouldn’t think it was anything but normal if so many on this forum weren‘t complaining.

Okay sounds like it’s a common thing. Top works just fine and seems to be just a cosmetic thing so I’ll let it be for now. Haven’t seen any other Broncos up close in person so thanks a bunch for all of the input!

Not good! as much I like my Bronco I will never make excuses for any low quality issue, that way the product reaches its peak quality. I owned a Jeep and I never had any problems with the hard top.

Another one? So f#<k1ng sad!!! 😡

Where is the lawsuit or recall? This is a damn joke on Ford and Webasto. Why must this hardtop suck so much and now some are just accepting it and considering themselves *lucky* if the pieces match?!?

They better honor replacements or give significant discounts to trade in for a painted top that would *hopefully* not have these issues...

Longevity and durability is my main concern. If the internals are poking through the top layer, then that may cause an issue down the road. I’m sure the wait for a new one would be a very long time assuming Ford even acknowledges it and decides to do something

You guys just don't appreciate all the engineering that went into putting honeycombs in our hardtops. 😁

one of the members here did a self bedliner white top that looked pretty kick ass. I'm starting to believe his idea isn't just for cosmetic reasons.

Not making excuses for Ford, but I’m curious if closely inspected, Jeep hardtops look the same?
