For the cup holders lights i found out the bronco sports has lights in the cup holders maybe we could steal them.

any luck on the 22 models? Have a big bend and was disappointed in the lack of ambient lighting. Only the footwells.Nope no chance at all lol. If a guy is not doing the cup holder it’s really very simple.
Not even sure it’s possible on a ‘22. I’ll find out since my wife just got one.
Ok so I was able to complete this projectI was able to get the ambient light settings to shown up on my screen now. Tyvm!! Now just need to order the colored leds and start that projecti did have to do both the apim and as built apim like you suggested. It gives you a separate section now for ambient lighting. Not under general anymore once complete.
Nice to see another one finished. John (harness guy) was trying to adjust the harness so we wouldn’t have to swap the plugs. Must not have happened yet. It’s a small thing but just makes the bronco a touch nicer! Glad I could be some inspiration. Thanks for getting the pics underneath the console. I didn’t get any and haven’t taken it back apart.Ok so I was able to complete this projectdirections from first owner were great and harness guy Jeff was great on my 22 OBX. Here is what I had to do...
1. Got the forscan and changed the settings as listed on original post, also change the apim as well. You need both parts.
2. Ordered 4 sets of lights which ever was in stock and the cup holder. All parts listed original post. I did have to change out the heads I have pics.
3. Ordered the harness from harness guy. All parts took about 2 weeks to get ford was slowest.
4. Took the bracket off under the temp controlls after took the rail off the middle console and then lifted the middle console cover off. All push pins. There is a diagram on the web don't remember where I got it. I did take a pic of the pins. Just order a tool from Amazon. Nothing broke with them.
5. I did as well have to cut the pins I will call them that the cupholder sits in against the console, the new cup holder is bigger and not an exact fit, it's like 98%, but the pins don't match up. You will also need to cut down the two middle screw holders on the cupholder they are taller, and lastly you will need to drill new holes into the new cupholder for the screws they don't match up. And your doneit looks amazing!!! If you have questions ask I'll try to help. Frank

Yes where the Astrik is in the line. Try this before buying any parts just in case something has changed. This should give you the ambient light tab in the general settings and allow you to slide the colors up and down.Just to be clear on the FORScan portion. There are two steps that are needed:
1. Change lighting type to ‘Pantatone’ and ‘Write’
2. Change the ‘*’ in the APIM 7Do-01-02 to ‘A’.
Awesome write up and pix.Ok so I was able to complete this projectdirections from first owner were great and harness guy Jeff was great on my 22 OBX. Here is what I had to do...

Here is a picture of the Bronco Sport cup holders. They are not the same shape as the bronco’s. The middle section is curved and the Bronco’s are straightFor the cup holders lights i found out the bronco sports has lights in the cup holders maybe we could steal them.![]()
All the lights (wire harnesses) are the same physical size just the wire length and connector were different.Okay, I have the Ambient Lighting Menu on my settings and I am able to select a color and move the slider. I have a few questions and want to double check the parts list:
Parts
1. FL3Z-14A318-L: Wiring Assembly interior lamp
2. FL3Z-14A318-N: Wiring Assembly interior lamp
What are the difference between these two and do I need #2 of each?
Are these different than the wiring harnesses that the harness guy supplies? Are these just the LED lamps?
3. LJ7Z-7813562-BA: Cup Holder
Questions
1. Are you splicing the rear driver and rear passenger lights into the respective front wiring harnesses or are you tapping into elsewhere?
2. With the new Ambient Light menu are you able to turn on the ambient lights when you are driving? Now you can't turn on interior lights while driving-they only come on when you open the door? Sorry, I have never had an ambient light option.
Looks great! I just want to do the footwells and under front and back seats. If I order the 1st four items on the OP list (x2 for the seat lights) is that all I need? If I understand correctly, the lights come with connectors that kind fit the existing connectors under my seats?Ok so I was able to complete this projectdirections from first owner were great and harness guy Jeff was great on my 22 OBX. There are no connectors under the seat. There are holes that the lights fit decently. That’s where the harness comes into play. Basically it’s an extension from under the dash to the rear. If A guy wanted to do it on the cheap he could tap into the harness on a front light and run wires to the rear and use butt connectors or solder everything together. I wanted a factory ish look that just plugged in.Looks great! I just want to do the footwells and under front and back seats. It's best to get the harness. It's easy, he is great, and it's not that expensive compared to time, effort, and problems later. Yes one light will work if you order 4. You will just need to switch the connectors.Looks great! I just want to do the footwells and under front and back seats.
