I had brought this up in August 2021 and the response from Bestop was tepid. I had thought there was some design limitation. Please make a Bestop Sunrider for 4-door that replaces front 3 panels | Bronco6G - 2021+ Ford Bronco & Bronco Raptor Forum, News, Blog & Owners Community I ended up ordering a soft top to get it sooner, but would love to be able to source a rear shell and install this.
someone recognized her Bronco. I reached out and asked because I wanted to know where she bought one and this was her reply

“Thanks for reaching about about it. At this time I can’t talk about it since it’s still in the development phase. This is my first time working with a company like this so I don’t want to give info I’m not supposed to yet. Once I can release info I will. But thanks for the compliments! And I hope to see you and your Bronco in the wild soon!”

She was very nice but I’m not sure what Company she’s doing this for. Maybe we will know soon!

I wouldn't mind that for the summer.

Finally, a top for the Bronco driver that can't decide between hard or soft.

This is perfect

almost 12 months of seat time with my 4 dr MIC. I wasn’t interested in the soft top at all when I ordered, but whenever I see one whiz by me with the top down in the summer I’m jealous of the ease of use. Like I’m losing out on more experiences.

I slightly considered getting a second top like a full on a soft top, but couldn’t justify it with the seasonal installation/storing and required second set of hands from a friend. Nor did I like the mushroom rear and wavy side windows… I also looked into the bestop sunrider but couldn’t justify that either since it’s so easy to just take off the front panels and throw them in the trunk (which I do often).

…enter “skyrider”…I think this may be exactly what I’ve been looking for. Almost like having easy soft top functionality but you get to keep the better looking hardtop clamshell and windows…and installation/storage is vastly better than having a full on soft top as a second top. The only trade off is not having the fully opened soft top experience, but IMO that greatly outweighs not having the ugly soft top rear mushroom cap and wavy side windows and all the annoyances of installing and storing a secondary soft top

Anyone know how this design addresses the U shape cutout in the back center of the mid panel? I imagine the material within the “u” section stays flat, with a straight horizontal fold in front?

Either way it probably doesn’t impact open air experience since I believe that U shaped area sits above the cross bar anyway.

sorry I only took the 3 pictures. She hasn’t said anything about it she’s been quiet but she has to be. She said she can talk about it once the company lets her.

I have the MIC and found that while it was nice to pull the front sections, the middle was a pain because it could not fit in the Bronco, so it had to be left at home, and I still had the rear enclosed. I went ahead and bought the Bestop fastback twill soft-top as I was not fond of the look of the factory soft top window or the rear opening (I need to haul a bike and the Bestop opening is much better for that).

I thought about waiting for a "2-row sunrider" product like it seems this will be, but at this point, I think the only way I would consider it is if I had a modular rear shell where I could pull the windows. For my purposes, we (particularly my dogs) really enjoy having the back windows out. That is also what makes the Bestop good - it does not drop fully down, so there is no blockage to the 360 view horizontally, and the top is gathered behind and above the rear seat.

I did get a mesh top to give us some shade for the summer time, and today I am probably going to swap back to my MIC top and potato he mesh and Bestop away for the winter. I'll let everyone know how long that takes. I store my MIC top with a ceiling mounted hoist in my garage and I have a 4x8 rack that hangs along the side (great deal from Costco) where I put all my offseason gear and the panels to the MIC.

Good luck on whatever decision you make. Will be interesting to see how they price it - my feeling was the original sunrider was pretty pricy for the little bit of convenience, so this may be great for those who do not care about the back shell windows, or perfect for the mythical modular roof.

I don't know of any plans for a larger or double Sunrider option at this time.

^ In answer to my question about a Sunrider that extends over the rear seats.

^My post from about a year ago. Seems they were listening to our request.
