Base Owners - How does the steering wheel really feel?

Calling all Base owners. How does the steering wheel really feel? Some complain some don’t. Are you covering it?

I mean.......it feels like a steering wheel. In a truck.

I'd guess that a large number of people who complain about the steering wheel feel, just need to complain.

Very comfortable.
Great girth.
Nice finish.
Wouldn’t change a thing, except too many controls, which you can’t navigate clearly while driving.

It is fine. I like it.

But i covered it anyways with leather, because i can. Now i like it more.

Things always just keep getting better on the base

Thanks all. I wish I could sit in a base. Hard to find one in my area. I’m thinking of switching from my ordered BD. Not sure I need all the fancy stuff, but do like the full FORD CoPilot 360

It sucks. Hard plastic. But nothing that a $10 steering wheel cover won't fix I wasn't going to go to a Big Bend just for a leather wrapped wheel. BaseSquatch all the way.

Coming from a truck with a leather-wrapped steering wheel into a Basesquatch, I thought I would hate it.

Quite the contrary - I actually like it, and doubt it will wear as poorly as some previous leather-clad wheels I've had before.

Might miss the heated function come winter time, but otherwise no complaints about the steering wheel.

I had a Maverick XLT for about 1 month before I sold it for a profit. My only complaint was the feel of the plastic steering wheel. I'm still waiting for my Base Bronco, and I already know I will hate the steering wheel, but I'll replace it when the time comes, or have leather professionally installed onto it.

Ive got 2400 miles on my Base Squatch, never once thought about the steering wheel other than using it to turn..... comfortable to me.

My dad has a Cherokee and my mom has a BMW. Both leather wheels. The base wheel honestly feels no different to me. Don't even think about it.

I've had mine since December. I like the feel of it and I use mine as a daily driver.
