Arrived at Dixiana, “placed at industry” last night 9/12
This afternoon: “emptied released to customer”
I THINK this means it is now in a lot (found the lot on Google maps) waiting for a driver to load it. AND the rail strike theoretically won’t hold it up now.

The Rail Workers agreed to a cooling off period in July that expires on September 16. So as long as they are as far away from the train lot as possible before then, they should be safe. I think both of ours need to travel about the same distance, just in different directions. Hopefully they are saying their Bronco good-byes and exchanging VINs.

You can input your Bronco VIN into your FordPass app at anytime once it was built. You can then request your FordPass app for your Bronco to be activated. Once that request is in, it will pop-up on the screen in the Bronco. You are then hoping the next person who gets into the Bronco clicks "Ok" and accepts the request. If they do then the clock starts on all of your free FordPass app trial stuff. But you will be able to see each time the Bronco gets moved with a precise GPS location. Or if you activate secure alerts, even every time the door gets opened.

If they reject your request you will get a message on that too which is information that someone is in your truck. Or if it gets driven 10 times without accepting the request then you'll get a rejection.

It is hit or miss on who may activate your FordPass request. I have not done it for my Bronco. I did it for my Lightning and watched it sit in four different Dearborn parking spots for six weeks before it got loaded on a train. It was fun and agonizing to keep track of it. I knew the day and minute it was loaded onto a transport truck and about 7 hours later, I saw the door open at my dealer.

All of my one month free stuff expired before my truck ever left Detroit.
I finally got it to take my VIN let me give it a “name” but then it doesn’t come up. So tried again and says it is already associated with a name. Didnt give me the option to activate it. Is the Explorer on the app causing issues? Be my luck I have disable something and now it will never leave KC 😂😂

I went ahead and added my Bronco to my FordPass app tonight. It probably took about 5 minutes for it to show up in the app. Finally after that when I click on account, I can choose "Bronco" or "Lightning".

When I try to activate the vehicle, I get a message the feature is unavailable until I take delivery of the vehicle. Maybe the Bronco behaves differently that the Lighting in the FordPass app.

Thank you! I just went back and looked and mine has finally popped up, but like yours it won’t let activate. Did you watch Tim tonight? I thought he said something about cars at KC but now I can’t find it

Wow, Tim went long tonight. I don't generally watch him live. Catching up on his podcast now.

We may have just squeaked in under the wire. I just posted this in a new thread. It was on the Lightning forum and I didn't see it anywhere on Bronco6G.

Hopefully our railcars still get unloaded.

Any one who ships out of Dearborn on Norfolk Southern will be affected at end of Presidents "Cooling Off Period" for negotiations closes on the 16th. To prepare, NS had released the below. "Automotive
NS will enact an embargo of all automotive traffic, effective 00:01 Wednesday, September 14."

Units at ending terminal will be allowed to pick up and transfer to Auto Carrier for last mile loads.

Do our Broncos get shipped out of Dearborn? Or is there a rail in Wayne by MAP? My Ford status says shipped, but I sure hope I made it before the embargo.

Pretty sure Dearborn but they're only like 10 miles apart. I would also say it depends on when you got "shipped". It appears from what people have posted that they consider it shipped when it leaves MAP, then it might take a day or so for it to actually get on a train and start moving.

You would also think though with this embargo that Norfolk Southern wouldn't let Ford send vehicles to the origin railyard if they're not going to load them, but who really knows. This whole situation is crazy.

I was using Dearborn as a general location. All are affected.
There are at least three or four rail loading locations Ford uses in the Dearborn area. I know my Lightning loaded at Melvindale and shipped N.S. I’m guessing my Bronco loaded out of the rail yard near MAP.

Hmmmm, I wondered about this also. I'm hoping that does mean that ours will at least get unloaded and a truck can pick it up. Otherwise, they are soooo close, yet soooo far away. I called this morning just to see if it said anything different and it still gives the location it was at yesterday at 2pm. So it is in KC, but I don't know if it is off the train or not. Hoping they will get a truck over there soon and get them picked up before they sit in KC for who knows how long.
