I have my railcar info from Norfolk Southern but not sure how to track it. What is the automated system you are referring to? I called and they wouldn't give any tracking info to anyone but Ford or the dealer.

If you are going by rail, it’s more complicated…

First you will need the rail car letters and numbers. It is on the visibility report or DORA which is from the dealership. You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

Please let me know if there are any others and I'll add. That way it'll all be in one place!

Well, day 5 of awaiting shipment. What is the average time in this stage? Yesterday Ford chat said it wasn’t on a chip hold and it was built/released.

This was greatly helpful. I was able to use the automated NS system to get an update without bugging a human. Will be in Delaware by 5pm EST this evening about 85 miles from my dealer.

Well, day 5 of awaiting shipment. What is the average time in this stage? Yesterday Ford chat said it wasn’t on a chip hold and it was built/released.
I'm hesitant to check with chat, but backdoor link, Ford tracker, Ordertrack and Ford email all say built with ETA's ranging from 9/2 to 9/8 on backdoor link and 9/5 to 9/11 in the Ford email. I'm seriously trying to be as patient as possible, but with others out there hitting the road, its tough.

I just got off with Ford Chat and and my Bronco Raptor as of 8/17/22 was" Built" with an ETA of 9/6-9/17. Tom said there was no further info. I asked him if there was a chip issue with my build and he said he did not see one. He then stated "Unfortunately, if there was he could not say anything".... Nothing is showing on any trackers for me. Still just shows "in production"....

After a chat today, plant hold likely means a chip issue or something similar as it has been common to both F150 and Broncos lately. Mine still shows produced and eta this week but not released due to the hold.

Similar, yet different from the chat today. 8/18 blend. “In production” still, but chat confirmed that it is “listed as produced, however it has not been released for shipping yet. I do not see any holds on it.”

He then went on to say that mydelivery window of 9/5 - 9/11 would likely get pushed. Still not holding my breath.

Order tracker app doesn't show it yet, but the Ford tracker site shows mine as Built 9/1 as of this morning. No email yet, and was in production status yesterday.

OH, VIN around 1200
Good news, they are definitely shipping. Blend date was 8/8 and estimated delivery was 9/6 - 9/12. I saw my status on the Ford site tracker changed from built to shipped earlier today. I'm in Ohio, just a few hours from Detroit, so figured shipping would be quick. Emailed with the dealer to verify, and surprisingly, it arrived on the lot this afternoon. Took a drive by there after hours to get some proof, and sure enough, found it in the fenced lot. Talking to my salesperson in the morning.

Looks like in the past week I was pushed from a production week of 9/8 to 9/15, so finger’s crossed. Great seeing these getting delivered.

Spoke with Ford Chat this afternoon about my order status. Still Unscheduled - Clean. However, I was told that a scheduling email will be going out tomorrow and if we do not receive a VIN we will be getting pushed to MY23.
