Temporary seat covers (heat shields)?

As expected, the MGV seating gets hot in the sun. We've resorted to covering the seats with a blanket when we leave it parked somewhere with the top off. Something you take off the seat when you return to the vehicle to keep the leg burns at bay. Clearly a blanket isn't the easiest approach. Is there such a thing as a temporary seat cover for situations like this? I'm thinking something similar to a hooded white towel where the hood goes over the headrest to keep the cover in place and the cover itself is long enough to cover the seat bottom. Something you can throw on and take off in seconds. Is anyone aware of anything like this?

I just don’t know if they would be long enough to cover the entire seat.

I’ve looked at hooded towels but they all seem to come in kids sizes, so way too short.

You are doing it wrong. When tucked under the headrest, it will stay in place. I've used beach towels in my Jeep for a decade. And I use them in my Black Diamond everyday. They stay in place.

Don't overthink it. Beach towels are cheap and easy to clean.

There are hooded towel like covers that drape over the headrest, I've been searching them out too.

None I've seen in that style are very form fitting if that matters for this purpose, but some I've seen had some Ford logos. Still looking though, nothing grabbed my attention yet.

Rumpl makes some of those thin packable micro odor/stain resistant towels you could drape around the head rest with some alligator clamps perhaps but not sure how the length would be

I've read a few reviews for some of the covers with the "slip resistant" backing (like the ones in your link) that claimed the rubber nubs damaged their synthetic leather seating. I don't intend to actually sit on the covers so this may not be an issue, but...

Interesting. I wouldn't think they would negatively affect the seat. Wonder if MGV is tougher and might not be affected? I'd probably be lazy and leave them on in the summer. LOL
